In the NCIS World

With the latest episode only 10 hours away there has been a lot going on in the NCIS world.  Last week’s episode did well in the ratings despite the mixed reviews from the online fans.  Some felt it was beyond believable that one man can stand up to thugs.    The main point of the episode was to show how women are treated in Afghanistan.  IT didn’t hurt to have in the news the young girl that stood up to soldiers on a bus in Afghanistan being featured and interviewed every where.

This week we return to Baltimore as we see a much younger Anthony DiNozzo deal with being a cop in Baltimore.  We had seen pictures earlier this fall previewing this episode.  Some were pretty funny.  TV guide did a cover story with Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly and their respective characters relationships.  There are some really beautifully done pictures.  I wish I could get it but I am not comfortable spending extra money on it.

HarrietNCIS is a blessing she continues to provide us with viewer alerts for upcoming episodes on the list and of course discussions and speculations on all of them are pretty funny at times.  Some not so much.  Many seem to think there is tension between DiNozzo and Gibbs.  That if it continues their relationship will fall apart.  Some feel that the fans are expressing disappointment in the actor’s performance opposed to the writing.  I don’t see it (the tension).  Mind you the discussions on the episodes are not limited to one forum or group.

The campaign to bring Cote De Pablo is ebbing I think.  One day there is acceptance on others apparently re-affirmation that their campaign is working.  Someone asked a person named Probalicious their thoughts on Cote and Mark’s relationship.   The writer seemed to think there were bad feelings between the two because the way Cote left.  Probalicious reassured the person that although Harmon  may have been hurt at first he did come and see her on the day of her final scenes.  Probalicious writes “the fans need to get over the fact she left”  and the cast is now way beyond this and have been working for weeks without CDP.  I say AMEN.

Fans and film buffs are gathering in Omaha Nebraska to mark the anniversary of the Great Escape along with David McCallum.  I know of one person making the journey from Europe. I betcha it will be a lot of fun.

Mark Harmon will be on Craig Ferguson on November 7-NOvember 8th.  If I had to speculate the 11th Season...and changes, and the football stuff.  Actually that is what I would love to hear...I would also love to hear him say they are becoming grandparents.  I would love to see how he announces it when the time comes.

The NCIS cast and crew and fans are on baby watch.  A couple of weeks back Michael Weatherly tweeted that the baby is taking its time to be born.  Prayers and good thoughts.

This Week in NCIS World

Well hello my friends how are you doing?  I wasn’t overly impressed with this week’s episode but I was surprised by its ending.  Of course the reviews from various arenas are the same.  Some liked it some didn’t. Shortly after this episode aired Michael Weatherly was interviewed by a blog site and he posted to his twitter feed and he gave his views rather forcefully (dropped the F-Bomb a couple of times.  Some were disappointed in his choice of words others were fine with it.  Some criticized others for posting their disapproval.  That’s their right.  I wrote my views on this thread . However, by the end of this weekend after hearing “he is expressing his opinion and” and basically being dismissed for our own views I responded   here .   I did offer some support to Michael Weatherly on his twitter page.  Whether or not he sees or cares about it is totally different. What's been happening

The holidays have brought out the trolls again on the IMDB board.   People have been interacting with the latest one and doing okay but I think they are done with it.   I am not interested in interacting with people who come on the boards and say things that are inflammatory and become abusive. There have been some “Blind items” that really seem very cruel about a prank that was played on someone from NCIS and you can read about it here.   I expressed my concern and hopes that NO one on either cast would perpetuate any kind of prank like this. Discussions about the newest episodes including the 200 th episode are continuing on many of the venues I frequent.   Some are receptive for clips and some are not.   Some are questioning the once again use of the Kelly and Shannon stuff.
