The NCIS world

I have been trying to write this for several weeks.   Well where to start?  The fans on Facebook were outraged and actually believed that CBS replaced put Rudolph on instead of NCIS because they couldn’t deal with the backlash  Hello?  I was a holiday week!!!.   Some others believed because production was backed up etc.  This past week was due to the same thing.   The episodes have been pretty good.  I do wish that people would give the actress and character a chance but I am not going to stand here and hold my breath.  I would unconscious in about 10 minutes.  The only episode I am not looking forward to is the one w/ Susanna Thompson and her character Hollis Mann.  I have only heard speculations and some spoilers but the secondary story I am dreading. As of today I no longer follow PP on twitter.  She and some fans got in to it and she and the fans behaved badly and I am sick and tired of the drama she is constantly perpetuating with her antics on twitter.  They both are res

There was an article

Discussing the Japanese Marathons and there was   One of the comments annoyed me but I also knew it was a  matter of time before someone would insinuate or speculate and out and out accuse Mark Harmon of being behind the women of the show leaving.  I sent the snippet to both BJ and Joni.  I heard from joni she was astounded.  All I know is I am not going to feed into the anger of those who claim to be fans and want to spew their anger on anyone near by. This weekend is the two day NCIS Marathon.  I will have to miss some of it or all of it as I will be doing various activities.  Don’t forget Mark Harmon will be on Craig Ferguson on Monday. The next new episode is on in December.

Response to Elle Bishop

The response to newest member NSA liaison Ellie Bishop was mostly favorable in the circles I am in. Of course it met with mixed on Facebook.  Happily there are more and more people saying get over it.  I swear some people are five year olds.  As I expected the person I mentioned about getting banned from LON was officially banned until the first of the year.  If she does again then she is permanently banned.  I did enjoy it and several times Kate Todd was referenced.  I do have to say MS Emily does remind me of Hudson Leick (Callisto in the Herkdom) she also reminds me of Tracy Pollan.   The next episode is in two weeks I believe.  I believe that one has Diane Gibbs Fornell whom ever she married before (and is apparently now history) and Fornell’s Daughter Emily we met in Season 4.2 “Escaped” episode and she is beautiful 14 year old red-head.  I know of only one person so far who does not want to see this one (among all those who refuse to watch it because Ziva/Co

Tonight we meet Ellie Bishop

In about 13 hours 20 minutes we will be introduced to Ellie Bishop played by Soprano’s alum Emily  Wickersham.  Do I have to tell you the rabid fans are not even liking her already based on the promos that came out?  Happily for everyone who sounds like a freaking 4 year old (and I even had to ask someone on the Facebook page for the show how old they were) there was a sane person saying “move on”. These people invade every freaking thread with “Ziva is the holy grail of characters”.  As it is there was one poster both on the NCIS fan wiki and the Land of NCIS who keeps insisting that the show is not the same and the show is going down hill has already been banned from the sites.  I know for sure she was banned from one and is dangerously close to getting thrown off LON. It needs to stop.  First of all you ever hear of “dead horse”?  It ain’t getting up and it is heading for the glue factory.  This also goes for anyone who doesn’t like the show in General.  If you don’t like what’

Are You Kidding Me?

Are you kidding me? I was reading some of the ncis blogs when I came across this one from six days ago.  What I have  linked is the writer’s response to another comment.  I was absolutely floored and shared it at the IMDB site.  Maybe I am missing something…                         twilight08                 Reply                                      To Mark Harman, Gary Glasberg, and the CBS Studio, it’s sad to see that the new character of Eleanor Bishop will be played by a white actress instead of adding someone male or female of color…black, asian, native american, and latino. You’re solving crimes incurred in a diverse Armed Service of the Marines. Yet Gibb’s team remains the same, all white — Tony, Tim, Ducky, Abby, and himself? Noting, everyone of color has either died on a bus shot by Gibbs, had a cleanliness disorder never to be seened again, shot in the arm and left the morgue only to be replaced by another white actor, lost a sister in a

In the NCIS World

In Just ten hours is the Veterans Day Episode of NCIS.  I like it because who can not like Jack?  I expect the ratings for this to match the last two episodes as well.  They always seem to increase with DVR numbers.  Despite the clamor of CDP fans saying they are dropping.  If they drop out of the top ten then I will worry.  Many people are insistent that the ratings drop is because CDP is gone.   ATTENTION FANS:  Cote has left the building.     Many thanks to HarrietNCIS the fan liaison for keeping us posted on cast appearances and upcoming episodes.  I was able to catch the Entertainment News programs and of course the interviews.  Michael Weatherly dons a great alligator suit..  The cast also recently did an international (out of LA I guess) press tour.  Many seemed to think they looked lonely up there.  i didn’t see it but  then again I wasn’t really looking. Some articles recently came out causing the “fruitloop brigade” to throw their hate towards the cast (sp

In the NCIS World

With the latest episode only 10 hours away there has been a lot going on in the NCIS world.  Last week’s episode did well in the ratings despite the mixed reviews from the online fans.  Some felt it was beyond believable that one man can stand up to thugs.    The main point of the episode was to show how women are treated in Afghanistan.  IT didn’t hurt to have in the news the young girl that stood up to soldiers on a bus in Afghanistan being featured and interviewed every where. This week we return to Baltimore as we see a much younger Anthony DiNozzo deal with being a cop in Baltimore.  We had seen pictures earlier this fall previewing this episode.  Some were pretty funny.  TV guide did a cover story with Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly and their respective characters relationships.  There are some really beautifully done pictures.  I wish I could get it but I am not comfortable spending extra money on it. HarrietNCIS is a blessing she continues to provide us w

This Week in NCIS World

Episode Under the RAdar aired this past week to more favorable reviews from the online groups I belong to.  However, I wasn’t thrilled with it.  THe new opening credits are cool.  The Retiring Agent Vera was obnoxious as all get out.  I guess that’s what happens when you hang out with Mike Franks.  As I think about it this was a segue into next week’s episode.  I missed Michael Weatherly’s song/video but it had been pushed everywhere by everyone. The cast has been tweeting great things.  BTS photos, personal stuff etc.  I replied to M Weatherly’s tweet of his two german shepherds.  He didn’t respond (sad face).  I had to miss his appearance or segment on OMG Insider because of the NJ Governor Debate. Some fans are still upset by the loss of CDP but others within that faction are asking for people “to move on”.  I agree.  It looks like more and more fans are becoming accepting of the end results of this hoopla. There is one thing I am becoming concerned about and t

This Week in NCIS World

Well Episode #2 and Ziva farewell aired this past week to mixed reviews-again.  Gee what a surprise.  I enjoyed it as always. The ratings seemed to maintain in the 20 million mark.  I am not really worried about them crashing as many are predicting. Discussions continue on the focuses of the show.  Some want the comedy to continue.  I agree as long as it blended equally with the action, drama and what ever else that makes a TV show.  I like the stand alone episodes along with the arcs.  I also like know about the personal sides (even if they don’t always make sense) more and more layers that make the characters tick. Previews and spoilers for future episodes are sprouting all over the net and various forums for the next two episodes.  They are Episode 238 “Anonymous Was a Woman” and Episode 239 “Always a Crook”.  The first one was has to do with a pet project of the Late Mike Franks and his spirit will be showing up again.  So will his DIL and granddaughter.  I am not sure what t

This Week in the NCIS World

Well Season 11 has begun rather well ratings wise (overall).  IF I am to believe some of the reports and analysis from IMDB and other sources.  As always it got mixed reviews from the fans from various forums.  There were a couple of moments in my viewing that I thought was a little shaky but overall I enjoyed it Just as the season premiere was dawning news that another spinoff was spread throughout the ether.  This time it will be in the hands of Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon.  This led to much speculation from fans.  Questions such as will it be “a real spin-off?” or “will it be good?” It also led to speculation that maybe Mark is pulling back from the role of LJ Gibbs.  It led to concerns this would adversely affect the “mother ship”.  I don’t know what to think.  I would feel bad about not seeing Mark Harmon as much in the show. Oh and of course this is the week that trolls came out of their hiding places.  I have had to report  a couple on IMDB this past week a

This is the week

This week is the Season premiere of NCIS in its 11th Season. This is the most anticipated Season premiere.  For the fans of the show because they want to see how well the TPTB got out of the situation they were in May.   The TIVA fans because they want to know if Ziva/CDP will be honored in the way they are supposedly entitled. (note:  If any other “ship” fans were doing the same kind of crap that was pulled this summer I would be down on them too).  TPTB including cast and crew are probably anxious as well.  They want to know if they pleased the viewers/fans or not. I haven’t checked this morning if there were more articles on the season premiere but I will check shortly.  I know there are a lot of articles and reviews of the Emmy’s and many commented on Mark Harmon including PP.  They were all positive remarks.  I just hope we get the interviews.  I am sure we will get them on OMGinsider and ET. Have I mentioned I don’t like the USA Schedule for NCIS?  Have you se

The Emmy's

I tried to watch the Emmy’s on TV to see Mark Harmon but I didn't see him but I did seem on the live feed for the Emmy’s .  He was signing something in the dark. I just have a little problem though.  I sure as hell wouldn’t be tweeting while at the emmy’s.  I would be focusing on the awards and my JOB.  Of course Mark wasn’t tweeting so I wasn’t referring to him but in the videos I did see and what I saw on the TV everyone else was. It is kind of fun being a “fly on the wall” so to speak.  I just checked one of the forums and they said Mark hasn’t been on it yet except a clip from a montage at the beginning.  That’s one of the reasons why I don’t watch these things.  I let them know where you can see stuff and you might be able to see it again. More articles about Mark Harmon and the season premiere of NCIS are showing up.  They are probably re-hashing and re-writes of earlier articles.  It is nice that its happening.  My hope is we will see the cast show up on CBS shows or a

This Week in the NCIS World

Very busy week.   Prayers to the members of the real NCIS in DC and around the world after this week's attack by one gunman .  They are investigating the shooting there.  ET and other Entertainment news got reactions from the cast and crew of the NCIS series. More and more reviews of the new season for NCIS and more comments from fans etc. Articles left and right too. Happy Birthday to David McCallum who turned 80 this week.  I found many blogs that mentioned him.  :)I will add his birthday to my birthday list soon.. Really nice photos from the Stuntman’s awards.  I am glad he is was being honored.   A debate has arisen between fans regarding the actress Diane Neal.  Some including myself have felt she has been fueling the BBC brigade and the more rabid fans of CDP/Ziva.  Others have not.  I myself had been criticized on a couple of forums that DN was only being supportive.  Yeah of rabid fans going wonky on CBS and the cast and crew.   Happily I was not in a minority on I

It is going to be a busy weekend for Mark Harmon.   The Stuntman’s association is having their annual gathering and awards banquet and will be honoring Mr. Harmon with the Richard Farnsworth Award.   From all the reports Pauley P will be hosting and Robert Wagner will be presenting the award to MH. Also this weekend the Prism Awards will air on FX (check local listings for time) and we can see the pre-recorded acceptance speech from MH on NCIS set. Tomorrow USA will air the Repeat Offender Marathon starting at 1 pm.   OF course it will be on a day I am busy.   I checked the IMDB NCIS TV schedule and so far they have a few more marathons going and they kept the Wednesday Marathon in tack for the 25 th ..   It will start at 6 am (Yay) and probably finish 8 or 9 that night (the schedule is only up to 4 pm).   They didn’t list anything for Monday 9/23.   I am also not going to bother updating a calendar because it takes me too long. The next day after I posted the link to

Wow someone is pissed off...

Well it was only a matter of time before some one would rail on Mark.

Mark Harmon on the Arsenio Hall Show (1989)

I watched this before I see tonight's Arsenio Hall show.  I may have to wait to see it because I usually have a hard time watching any talk show interview because I have no patience with interviews however if this video is any indication I may be pleasantly surprised. Discussions regarding the letter GG wrote still continue and of course whether or not CDP should have said something when she said nothing at all.  Some do not understand that even though they are not on social media or the net they have staff people who do follow it.

The anticipation of the Season premiere of NCIS is getting heavier in this fan’s life.   Discussions continue of upcoming episodes post Ziva and what to expect for episode 250.   That will be sometime later on in the season.   What ever it is I hope it is done well and received fairly well (uh huh I know not gonna happen). Mark Harmon was a busy man last weekend.   Michigan University honored the Late Tom Harmon (Mark’s father) and his accomplishments for the University as their star Quarterback.   Mr. Harmon was at the game and celebrity commentator and made a speech.   There are number of posts and pictures in various areas of the event.   According to some there was also some rude and uncalled for comments on twitter.   I somehow got on a blog for the team and some of them reviewed his “performance” as being forced.   Okay you want to stand in front of a stadium full of people and not get overwhelmed?   Good luck on that one. Next week Mr. Harmon will be appearing on

Around the NCIS Fandom

Image
Can someone please tell me what FANFiction.net did to their site?   They updated their filters to include characters in the stories and when you are looking specifically for the pairing/characters you want they include others that you don’t want.   You think you are getting one thing and it turns out to be something totally different.   I really don’t like it. When Harriet posted the revised view alert for this months season premiere I sent a welcome back email and she emailed me privately and said thanked me.   She also said they really don’t get a very long Hiatus.    She also said that the weather/temperatures were very hot this summer.   When I asked her to send along Birthday Greetings to Mark she suggested I send him a card.   She even suggested I could get a autographed Photo of him but I am not sure I want to do that as Mom gets anxious at what she thinks is my obsessive behavior of the show and actor. There is a Labor Day Marathon tomorrow.   It starts I think aro

Going on in the Fandom

As most of you know for the last few years I have been following actor Muse Watson on the social media sites.  Especially after he appeared as Gibbs’ Boss in the 3rd season two part season finale of NCIS.  As usual you find out he has been in a hundred films and TV series of one genre or another.  I am beginning to re-evaluate that decision. As time went I noticed how he would behave on the two sites he has been on.  I approved his campaign to remove all the false Mark Harmon accounts but then he would make comments about things and would attack others for their views.  I know I may have talked about the time he made a comment about CT Senator Chris Murphy and I defended Senator Murphy and he came up with some snotty ass remark.  I was livid.  He has no BUSINESS to make derogatory remarks about people he doesn’t know.  Most recently a few people commented to him they didn’t like the character of Mike franks and they were respectful.  He acted as though they slandere

This Week in the NCIS fandom

it has been a busy month in the NCIS Fandom.  The TIVA/Ziva fans continued to fight for the return of Cote DePablo and took every chance they got to push for her return.  Eventually some of them began to realize it was Cote De Pablo's choice.  There were some asking for her to send a message out to the masses thanking the fans but requesting them to stop the harassment of the cast.  Some were even hoping that Mark Harmon being the “unofficial or official” leader of the show to make a statement of some sort (I admit I was one of them)    IT didn’t happen.  Well nothing from Mark Harmon but an article in a Latina Magazine with Cote and it not only confirmed but explained a little bit more (according to others) without going too deep into the personal life of CDP.  Eventually more and more articles came out on the turmoil that occurred (it was basically regurgitation of the same article that was sent to various press circles) I had joined tumblr.com to see what kinds of things were

Following the firestorm

As the news broke about Cote De Pablo's decision to not continue with NCIS the maelstrom that followed was beyond bizarre and questions the mental state of fans.  On the social networking sites fans clamoured they were no longer going to watch NCIS okay that’s fine can understand that but to lose sleep over it and blame the rest of the cast and crew?  Not cool.  To start petitions to get the actress to stay?  Why?  As I posted to one twit on Twitter-good idea force someone to be on a show they don’t want to be.  I can see the resentment for the fans building on that one (I was never one for starting petitions for shows and stuff like that).  I don’t plan on doing it for Mark Harmon when it comes time for him to move on either.  I will be sad that changes happen and I hope I don’t lose sleep over it but I will get over it. Fans are also discussing who should replace Cote for the rest of the season.  Some are hoping for just the three man team with Abby in labbeville

Say good bye to Cote DePablo Next year

I had received two Google alerts the first one from a site I wasn’t familiar with and sent the link to the NCIS yahoo group.  Asking if it is real.  You would think they would announce this but hey what ever.  THe second one was from EW.com and  here.   Of course the reaction has been shock and mixed delight. I also posted a view point last week or two on the fandom you can find at my other blog.

CBS-NCIS Yahoo Moderators

The following is an email I sent to the moderators of the CBS NCIS Moderators when I discovered my posts in the last two days were not being posted but yet I am still a member of the group. Prior to this they were all posted. “I would like to know why my messages are not being posted?  I have been making sure I snip all the information you have asked to be snipped.  I have been more than fair in my posts and I am rather surprised at this.  IF it was to change then you need to let me know.”   This isn’t the first email to be “ignored” either.  When there is an email listed on the group page that clearly means we are allowed to contact them if we have issues of any kind.  I find this to be rather unprofessional and petty at best. Until the recent blast I made I have been in good standing.  If they have issues they are obligated to inform me.  I have repeatedly asked them to contact me so that we may resolve whatever issues there are.  This kind of behavior may be acce

This Week in NCIS Fandom A rant

I was really apprehensive about watching Tuesday’s episode of the show.  This and the subsequent episodes could make or break ncis in fans for this and next year.  I know that almost every week there will be mixed reactions to the episodes.  I remember when I wrote in August last year that I wasn’t particularly happy with the last half of season 9.   There was one email from a thread on the yahoo group that really annoyed the hell out of me.  it was responding to two previous why they watch it and this is what “Vicky” writes: I do feel it would be morally irresponsible for me to not speak up when the show chooses to employ an abusive story line as entertainment. The problematic message Ziva's ongoing treatment of Tony sends is extremely worrisome. To not speak out is to give credence to it. Love should never hurt and one strike, one hurtful word, one purposefully cruel act intended to cause harm is one too many. While I love Tony!Whump as much as the next Core4
