Message from NCIS Fanfest...

The NCIS Fan Fest Planning Committee has reached a decision regarding a NCIS Fan Fest in 2012. We examined many situations and possible changes and the impact of these situations to providing a quality NCIS Fan Fest. The end result was we would not organize a NCIS Fan Fest in 2012. We understand some fans will be disappointed; however, we will not organize a NCIS Fan Fest that does not meet the quality of our prior Fests. On a brighter note, we will be working with Executive Producer, Chas. Floyd Johnson to help celebrate two milestone events for NCIS in the New Year. A special gift will be available to all fans in celebration of the 200th Episode of NCIS, February 7, 2012. In September 2012, there will be a virtual celebration to mark the beginning of the 10th Season of NCIS. More details will be available at a later date. If you have any questions you may contact us at NCISFanFest_PC@NCISFanFest.com The NCIS Fan Fest Planning Committee I know I have a lot to catch

this was the response...

WTF is wrong with you. I was joking. OMG, are you really serious? Why would you immediately assume how I am going react to you and act that way? I don't get it. You don't know me, and you basically insult me because you weren't perceptive enough to realize I was joking. Do you really think that Mark Harmon, who has been around forever, is going to lose his job on a successful tv show because one person said what I did????????????????? Seriously? Take your medication if that is the case, and stop insulting people until you actually are insulted. I mean, PLEASE! A) Mark Harmon is someone who I have loved since the 70s, so get off of your high horse. He was FANTASTIC as Ted Bundy in The Deliberate Stranger. My best friend and I actually quote from that movie a lot. B) Mark Harmon, son of Tom Harmon (UCLA football great), and philanthropist as well as longtime actor, is not going to be fired on MY say so. Oy vey. C) Mark was absolutely horrid in Certain Prey.
Hey everyone hope your holiday activities are moving along smoothly. Mine not so much but that’s for the RL blogs I have. I know I have been quiet this past but RL has been keeping me busy but I have been lurking all over the place. The forums are aflutter with discussions of the next episode of NCIS (tomorrow night CBS Channel 2 WFSB 3 8 pm. Eastern Time). There are few who are objecting to the fact that Gibbs is at the birth of baby. Some are equally upset that Ziva is also at this birth as well. They would prefer if the Autopsy staff or VSA’s DiNozzo and McGee were doing this. There are those who are not upset by this because they realize that Gibbs/MH is the Lead agent/star of the show and it is to be expected. They are also discussing the future episodes of the 9th season. It was reported by many venues including the actor himself that Muse Watson would be making an appearance in the 200th Episode in late winter. Some don’t want to have the character on it b

The marathons

I just finished watching the last hour of the mid-week NCIS marathon.   The first few hours I guess included the season one episodes.   The 8 pm and 9 pm were from season seven and the “new to USA episodes” season 8 “ Baltimore ”.   There is another marathon on Friday.   It is so me thing about romance I think it is called “Agents of Love” marathon.   That title should go over well. The previews for Next week’s Christmas episode are getting mixed reviews.   So me wanted to have the characters DiNozzo and McGee be the ones to help with the delivery instead of Gibbs.   UH hello two reasons I could think of for this.   Mark Harmon and his character are the lead in/on the show!!!! It doesn’t bother me in the least that this is the way the writers chose to write this.   Big tough Marine gets to have the back seat of his hosed by a momma giving birth. :O Last Weekend Chas Floyd Johnson was honored at an awards ceremony for all of his creative work.    Mark Harmon was in attendance to pr

Two Day Marathon

I am currently watching Day two of the NCIS Character Assassination marathon.   Its kind of weird as I was thinking of the episode Kill Ari where Abby is phonetically spelling out Gibbs na me as she talking as he is leaving the building.   I don’t think these episodes registered when I took a look the other day.   The next marathon is the Wednesday marathon.   This week’s CBS broadcast is from season 8.    So me really cool pictures and threads about the cast and crew granting the wish of a young child.    There are also so me really cool BTS of their Christmas episode.    So me one found an article from the Midwest about Mark Harmon and his fitness regi me . OF course there are several discussions that have been reduced to attacks and idiotic insulting conversations between trolls and so me of the posters.      IF there is anything I don’t like (basically they have to be insulting the other posters being de me aning and stuff) I just put them on ignore.   Well I am going to mo

Is the CBS Yahoo list abusing its power?

location : United States, Connecticut, Milford mood : aggravated I just wanted send a quick note before going off to bed, I have been watching the NCIS marathon and the one that’s currently on is Faith .    I am not sure how long I will be able to stay up as it is getting late.   Earlier this evening I replied to a post on the CBS Yahoo NCIS list regarding last week’s episode.   A few hours later I received an email informing me the me ssage was not approved because I made references to the Natalie Wood case. Have to admit my first reaction to SOTF was a bit harsh due to the Timing but I had an opportunity to watch it this weekend (even with The super-buffering and stalling) and found it very enjoyable. the Initial interrogation was a bit spooky as it could have happened in RL for him.   I was asked to please revise and resubmit.      It annoyed me because of the tone but I succumbed to it. have to admit my first reaction to SOTF was a bit harsh for various reasons > but I h

Thanksgiving Weekend

I really loved the Thanksgiving Day marathon it was aweso me .   I got to see so me of it before the family arrived and I saw the last one before the holiday weekend started.   There is one tomorrow starting at 9 AM.   I think it lasts until 11 tomorrow night.   I will be a happy camper. Next week’s CBS airing is a repeat so I won’t be watching it-I might don’t know yet.    I finally got to watch last weeks episode there was so me buffering and stalling but I just muddled through it.   I have to retract my original “review” from Tuesday.   I did find the initial interrogation a little spooky as I could imagine that kind of discussion going on in RL. I am really enjoying the ignore feature on two of the forums I visit.   Between the spam me rs for various things plus a few people who are insisting on being obnoxious know-it-alls it’s getting much more enjoyable. There are a few more stories written in the fandom.   I haven’t had a chance to read them but you can probably find them

Disappointed

The episode is on right now and within 3 minutes of it being on I feel this episode should have been moved or bumped to another time especially in light of the current situation that’s going on right now.   I didn’t even bother to watch the entertainment news reports because they had more reports.   Actually I did see something and I am not even sure what it was about but from what I gather it wasn’t good.   I don’t know whose idea was even to let this get produced or even filmed and I think it behooved the Silver haired Fox to have stepped in and suggest that it not be done.   Please don’t tell me these people don’t have a say in what gets done.   I have heard stories over the years in which cast members from various projects have been able to speak their minds when it comes to certain things.   This was the height of irresponsibility.   I am really very disappointed in the cast and crew and the programming department at CBS network.

The Holidays

Ahhhh    I just love the holiday season.   The networks set out the holiday schedule.   Deciding what of their line up will air which episodes (hey I am tired so sue me).   It becomes troll Season on the various message boards with the stupid inflammatory questions and pots questioning your reasons (and some times your sanity) for watching said show that is apparently from hell.   God freaking forbid you should ask said troll or poster (for the politically correct) you get stomped on for questioning their right to hate the show!   Case in point: this thread-this was my response .   There was another thread on the same board.   I am waiting for the Legal department (AKA WC2) to say something.   There is another inflammatory post at the CBS board with the same intend.   I swore I would not comment but as you can see from the above post it didn’t work. For some reason I am still getting email alerts regarding the community I left (under both of my names).   I don’t know why but I hope t

This week in NCIS

Good Morning my fellow NCIS/Mark Harmon fans.   I trust your weekend is going well?   I can honestly say it is despite the unpleasantness in the fandom earlier this week. As I suspected my posting privileges at the Navy_NCIS community were banned.     So I decided to stop following and stop being a member.   I am all for expressing opinions and respecting the other point of view.   However they were not respecting me and I felt I had a right to say that.   I am not just going to follow the pack mentality whether it is pro or negative.   So my recommendation is this if you want to get as much info or discussing on NCIS and all that it entails and want to be treated fairly this community I don’t feel will do that for you. I will reiterate one other thing.   If the show is no longer providing you with the kind of entertainment you are looking for then don’t keep watching it.   A fan is a fan and you don’t have to like every single nuance or writing or character or even actor but you don

NCIS Episode Discussions

First I want to welco me all new me mbers and followers.   I hope you enjoy your stay here and I hope you also find it so me what entertaining.   The Episode discussion for Engaged Part 1 on the CBS Yahoo Group was reaching levels of Heated levels so much so that Administration asked that it be taken off the list and into private emails and to discuss so me thing else.    It was over the sa me things.   So me people feel they have a right to constantly complain about things.   Well good.   I constantly want to say I don’t like LT Col Mann.   She was pushy abusive of power and took away from my enjoy me nt of the show.   How many freaking ti me s am I going to say it?   On forums I am not sure.   It depends on the mood I am in.     Well the moderators need to look at the postings before they let them through.   I know there were many that I have posted that were arbitrarily not sent through.   That’s one of the reasons I left the group the first ti me because I got into an argu me

The Mark Harmon Fan Wiki is sending holiday wishes to Mark

Send Christmast Greetings to Mark Harmon

Happy Birthday Brian Dietzen

Image
Let’s start off wishing Brian Dietzen (aka Jimmy Palmer) a wonderful birthday.   Our Favorite Autopsy Gremlin’s birthday is today and fans are already sending birthday greetings to the actor.   Unfortunately some one is now spreading rumors already . Despite my best effort to stay away from forums during the day (aka while working) I did spent a lot of time there today.   Discussions on Certain Prey have been very interesting.   I still have to see it and hopefully not at some ungodly hour either.   I think the next time it is on it’s around 11 pm this weekend. When I read the reviews or the comments at the various sources I wonder if The Harmon’s have read them or ignored them?   Some of them are down right hurtful and although it is part of the package being in the entertainment industry I have to wonder what the reactions were?   I know I couldn’t be a performer as I would take what people say to heart.   I get the impression so do the actors I currently follow at some level.
Hey all!   I think I am going through with NCIS withdrawals.   Any ti me the show isn’t on I get bored.   There are a bunch of movies that I could be watching but don’t want to because I have seen them so much.   The sa me could be said about NCIS.     So I have been trying to move so me Google alerts around and so me were about Mark, Cote , and the show.   I only read one this ti me for Mark and I even followed the link.   To this site it see me d to be a collection of things related to Mark. The birthday greetings continue to be posted at the Facebook page for Cote .   So me have been very nice and there is one that basically is crude.   Then there are several “Love the show”.   Yeah we get that or you wouldn’t be posting to the Facebook page. There have been a couple of fanfiction.net stories that were updated in the NCIS arena.   This one is excellent.   I have been following it for a long ti me and it seems like there were long periods of ti me that it wasn’t updated.

Here is today's NCIS marathon line up

This Week in the NCIS world

Part one of the NCIS two part arc Engaged got mixed reviews.   I had to wait to see it as it was election night.   The first time I saw the episode was 3 am and I found it to be meh.    I thought the dream sequence was a little awkward (made him look somewhat delusional) however I have since thought other wise. The antics of Abby in the scene were a little overboard but to be honest it hasn’t been that bad to me this season.   Some are complaining that the show has taken liberties to far (the civilians would not go after the Marine).   Everyone is enjoying Michael Weatherly’s daily tweets.   There are those who doubt it is the actor but others have confirmed that it is by the other cast mates.   He is having fun with Writer Chris Wilman, co-stars Brian Deitzen, Chris O’Donnell. There have been lots of Google alerts as usual for the show and cast and crew.   I haven’t gotten a chance to read them all but I am saving them to the Entertainment file. Muse Watson spoke at the Branson MO

Happy NCIS Tuesday

Mark Harmon and his lovely wife Pam Dawber attended the TV guides Hot list party last night.   There is already a video for ET posted on the forums this morning.   I first saw the picture of Mark on Twitter last night. This morning I was watching CBS TV news and there was a promo for an interview with Mark Harmon.   The journalist Rhianna sat down with him recently and they are talking about among things what he likes about NY and how he feels about his son playing young Gibbs.   I replied to her tweet that I will have to miss it but she says it will be on tomorrow morning as well.   That means I need to be up when the morning news hour begins.   I posted it to a few forums.   It has not posted to the CBS NCIS list (and that annoys me) For the last two days CBS and Twitter and Facebook were collectively promoting CBS stars would be taking over twitter for their prospective shows from 2-4 pm Pacific Time all day today.   This morning it was announced that Michael Weatherly would be

Certain Prey the day after

While I was at work I decided to do some searches for Certain Prey and there was a paper called the Deadbolt Interview that had an article and some comments.  They enjoyed the movie except for the swearing.  This one from Gather had a good review.  The discussion of the movie is still remaining within the mark Harmon appreciation threads on the CBS forum.  Of course this place loved it at least from first glance.  I haven’t checked the other threads.  Of course my friends at the Mark Harmon Addicts Forum  are over the moon about it. J I will check the different forums through out the day to see if anymore reactions come through.  I will also check the different community blogs to see what their reactions to it are as well. I do wonder what Mark’s cast mates thought of the movie and if they all watched it.  I will check twitter and Facebook later.

Certain Prey after thoughts

Image
Certain Prey after thoughts Nov. 7th, 2011 at 7:07 AM Well I saw the first half hour of it and found it entertaining.   Even though I did feel finding out that the woman lawyer got really involved quickly a little to fast.    I didn’t see the second hour because I was going to bed but stayed up to do other things.   This in no way says I found it boring or bad as some have said at the Certain Prey board there were one or two who felt it   was good.   Some were just plain rude and obnoxious about it.   I think these are the book snobs.   Members of one of the LJ NCIS communities instead of talking about the actual movie they were discussing which feed they had.   Apparently the international feeds were weird.   It was rather annoying to me.   I will look later.   Mardi watched and enjoyed.   Members of the IMDB for NCIS seemed to have enjoyed it but there have only been a few postings to it.   The CBS board not so

Tonight's the night

Well in less then thirty minutes the NCIS Mark Harmon wraps marathon will be over and the premiere of Certain Prey will start with a second viewing to follow.   I am getting nervous. Although there have been many Google alerts through out the day there are also stupid and rude com me nts such as these here .   If you are fan of Mark Harmon then you know he doesn’t have a vain bone in his body.   He has been saying right along that he has been a fan of the author and of the series since 1980.   Com me nts only prove that people are either jealous or have no clue as to what they are talking about and just have to tear people down to make them selves feel adequate. Oh and this discussion showed up again and it showed up here too.   Of course I made few com me nts and that’s about it.   As everyone who posts on these boards should probably know it will co me up again.

Things I have seen

Bright an early this morning I received a Google alert for David McCallum apparently there is an artist who does celebrity portraits.   He did an excellent one of Mr. McCallum.   The Artist Na me is Daulle.   I have never heard of him.   He is from France and has done many stars portraits. My friend abbygibbsmorgan posted a cute 1 chapter story to Livejournal in the gibbs_abby community and on fanfiction.net.   It was from the scene from season seven when Mike Franks loses his finger from the Reynosa family. There is a great Halloween Fic from Hawk_soaring that she posted after she got her power back from the recent Nor’easter.   That is one I highly recom me nd as well. There was another Google alert this ti me for Rocky Carroll.   This ti me it wasn’t about him but the Lewis and Clark Men’s running team in Billings Montana (I think). taylorgibbs wrote back in my Interview’s Entry that she couldn’t find any thing else from that interview.   Mark Steines said there woul

Interviews

Image
Well I have to say I just saw Good Day LA on their Fox station and I swear that Steve guy is a moron.   I have never liked their style of interviewing and I give Mark and anyone else that appears on that show a lot of Credit.   They are rude and obnoxious.   I even left a comment on their board.   There is a discussion on the Mark Harmon Addicts board.    TaylorGibbs saw this mornings “Today” segment and she said it was three minutes long. There is a USA article on Certain Prey.    I will find it again when I am home.   I don’t know how some of these people find this stuff.    I probably could find them because of the Google alerts but they are either about someone else or someone’s website or blogs.

A decision has been made

The MHA forum admin team has decided to keep the home thread open.   They also precipitated it with a warning that if the thread beco me s abusive they will delete it.   I absolutely agree with the outco me . By all accounts it would seem that many if not all really enjoyed last night’s episode.   They felt it was team centered, the mo me nts were touching yet humorous and many believed this reflected season one or season two episodes. I do agree with Nasloranger on a few points she made about the show .    For years we have heard what a first class gold digging bitch Diane was and now we get to see her as vulnerable human.   She nags and coerces her two ex-husbands to look into the disappearance of her third (and perhaps final) husband.    She beco me s a suspect and abusive to Gibbs and to McGee when she finds out.     To me it makes Gibbs look like he was completely to bla me for his marriages failing.   It takes two and from what I gather the wives were not easy either. Ah ra

Do you remember when I mentioned last month about the CBS Forum ?   Well as of yesterday afternoon it was offline.   The Facebook discussion forum is still alive.   Our friends to the North of us got to see this week’s episode last night.   They seemed to like it and from the pictures it should be good…I have a feeling this will a moment that LJG will reflect on his part of his marriages failing.   There are some stills from the episode that are really cool and handsome.   I will save them to my collection later. A very interesting thread ca me up today on Mark Harmon Addicts Forum .   One of the members felt very uncomfortable with the thread and suggested it be removed.   She gave her reasons why and I pretty much can see where she is coming from but like I said there if we as fans don’t act on it and remember that this is residence and not public domain then it should be okay.   I brought up the incident that I really objected to back in Kevin Sorbo’s Fandom.   I also reminded

I was not sure

I was unsure if ET would have the Cote DePablo seg me nt of the five Hottest Latin Hunks.   It is a five day seg me nt all week.   Both Cote and Nancy do the voiceovers and narrate the seg me nts.   The reason I was unsure was because of the insane news of Kim Kardashian filing for divorce after her 72 marriage ended.   That and the soon to be Ex Wife of Bernie Madoff.   Happily I was wrong.   I had the impression that so me people thought NCIS was going to be featured all week.   I am pretty sure that Mark will co me Friday. Over on I think The Land of NCIS Steve or so me one else posted a promo for the NCIS marathon and "Certain Prey" .   Mark Harmon did it and it must have aired over the weekend but I missed it.   If he is hosting the marathon I really hope they do the spots well.   I wasn’t overly impressed with the “Dear Abby” or the Tony DiNozzo spots.   I think I may have missed the ones with Sean Murray. Rocky Carroll and Pauley and I think I saw Brian doing so

Some updates

Harriet posted to the Yahoo group that on Nov 29th CBS will pre-empted NCIS for the annual showing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  It is not meeting with resistance. There is a New York Post article on the web

I knew there was going to be a marathon!

The scarathon schedule It is funny I was reading an early entry from my other blogs and it was Halloween time to and I had mentioned that USA was having the Scar-a-thon on too.  I am not sure if it was the same episdoes as this year but it would be fun to see if next year they have the same episodes (that's if it is still on next year on USA).

grrr

I am beginning to feel as though I am hitting my head against a wall.

on the CBS Yahoo Group

There is a really interesting debate about Palmer and his diabetes and why he would go for a pastry.  Is it a continuity issue /writer screw up or are they showing that Palmer doesn't always follow "the health rules" when it comes to sugar intake.  Some are saying that they are trying to show Palmer not perfect and falls to the temptations (like we all do I am sure).  I am not supposed to have salt and certain foods yet I still do and later pay for the consequences.  Others are critical and say this is wrong and is a big mistake. NCIS groups  (I think it works but if it doesn't anyone who is a fan is probably a member.) NCIS is on and the episode is  Vanished  from season two.  Don Swayze is making his first and only appearence in this.  As i look back on this this was really eery because his brother the late Patrick looked like him shortly before his death.  This was the season we start to see changes or hints that Gibbs (at least I think so now) secrets were comi

briefly

NCIS is not on tonight. After the Burn Notice Marathon its going to be L&O SVU marathon. That’s probably because there is another NCIS marathon coming up soon. I think I am going to watch Tuesday’s episode again. Muse Watson will be speaking at the Branson MO Veteran's Day Service on November 11. promos for the two part episode in which LJG goes to AFghanistan are popping up and I have read where young Sean Harmon returns as Young Gibbs Discussions continue with the most recent episode but mostly on to the next one where we get to See Ex Wife # (2?) Diane? OH and I really glad that Facebook is getting rid of the discussion sections of their groups...now we won't have to read some of the must insulting rude comments that have been posted on the NCIS board.  Most recently a comment about Mark harmon.

going to post links to MHA forum..:)

Thirst

Well last night's episode was entertaining for me.  There were some humorous moments for me and someone scary.  Never saw Cheryl Ladd go Psycho she does it well.  As you all know I have always found most if not all of the episodes good.  Only a few for me were outstanding.  There have been also a few I won't watch again.  The entertainment news programs disappointed me yet again.  It was almost a side note I think on Extra.  Nothing on the others.  I am hoping once the November sweeps start it will be better (they usually are).  Anyway the crew gets called in early (left over from last week).  Ducky comes in with coffee and something and they discuss his current romance.  It turns out Abby is tim's source.  Gossipmonger! (LOL). It was playful yet not over done. Loved the scene where Mary is introduced to Gibbs (in the previews).  I liked how Ducky was trying to show Gibbs the brain and Gibbs was just not having it (he has seen a lot of brains before why squeamish now?

update on Mark Harmon Appearences

I was informed by a fellow NCIS fan that Mark Harmon would be a guest on David Letterman next week and it was confirmed by Harriet at the CBS NCIS yahoo group this afternoon.  He will be appearing on November 3.  Let's hope I can stay awake for it. In two hours and 23 minutes the newest episode of NCIS is on.  From the previews and sneak peaks it looks good.  Something tells me I already know who the suspect is.... Of course will be on the look out for ET, Extra, The Insider and anything else. Healing thoughts to Pauley Perrette who tweeted recently that she was mauled on the hand by a rescue dog. She shared pictures of her finger in a brace.  How much you want to bet that a certain silverhaired fox wanted gibbs slap the dog for hurting PP?

the Double Header Marathon

USA is in hour seven of the Double Header Marathon.   The episodes currently on are Judg me nt Day part one and two.   There were a couple of episodes I wouldn’t watch or couldn’t watch because I didn’t feel like seeing the character Col Mann.   She was the epito me of the wrong woman for Gibbs both on the job and off.     So me stupid threads on a few forums are getting to replay and it really is getting stupid.   You could tell so me people were bored.   I get so tired of the sa me shit.   There are still promos for Certain Prey being played on the USA channel but sadly no personal appearances as of yet.   So me are suggesting that MH will make satellite interviews.   He will be in LA while the various news stations across the country will interview him.   I know that a few actors that I have followed have done that over the years. I did see if the Milford Library has any of John Sanford’s books and of course they do and of course Certain Prey is out. <Pouts> Actress
Well another Tuesday night has come and gone.   I wasn’t overly impressed with tonight’s episode Safe Harbor .   There could be lots of reasons.   I was tired, the story was slightly slow (as others mention), and I thought the find a date for Gibbs was a little inappropriate.   Let me try doing that for GC.   The episode has gotten mixed reviews and some do not like the (what they think is blatant) Family theme.   I was a little disappointed there were no full on interviews with the cast.   It was the closing item on The Insider .   I don’t think ET had anything (at least from what I saw).   Extra forget it.   All they had was the clip from the show.   I guess they will do more for next episode since its number 6 or as it gets closer to the 200 th episode. There was a live chat with Cote DePablo during the episode tonight.   I pretty sure it was fun for those who were at their computer while watching.   I think there may have been a transcript around some where.
