My NCIS World

Holy Crap just learned that Criminal Minds is ending after season 15!!!!  I am not a regular viewer when its first run but occasionally when it shows up on ION or WE or whatever other channel it will be on .   That being said even though it was reported on TV Guide site I may have to wait and see because many people are currently worried or believing various headlines that Sean Murray is leaving NCIS.  I have posted a few times in response they need to read further into the articles. That there are no indications of his leaving and they are rumors they are getting from people asking questions to columns or assumptions on various message boards.  Not really sure we should be putting a lot of trust to ET show either. Mind you when Duane Henry posted about his exit from the show it was after his final episode and he couldn’t say anything until much later. I was able to see this past week’s episode of NCIS entitled “Love Boat”.  I have to say it was quite good.  I have no problems with Torres or Quinn or the actors who play them.  I would have liked to have seen the reaction from the team on Delilah’s reaction but that may go against the main thought that no one wants to see the “personal side” of the agents.  Everyone did an excellent job. I read the synopsis of the next episode and we get to see Tony Dinozzo Sr.  I thought I read there would be either a surprise  appearance by Michael W and his alter ego in upcoming episodes (per chance Tim and Delilah’s wedding?) it may have been fan speculations. The discussions of Sean Murray’s weight Loss continues and my blood pressure keeps going up and up every time I read it.  I would like it very much of the Admins of any of the forums (mostly on FB) would get off their bums and Please say something.  I don’t care if you agree but really?? Enough...

The news flew through the NCIS fandom yesterday that season 12 was a go.  Many of us had no doubts.  Others did.  Many are hoping that Emly Wickersham’s character will be gone and you know who has returned.  Should I state the obvious? Today’s double episodes were from season 7.   They are Jetlag and Masquerade..  The first episode brought a lot of criticism because the agents left their charge alone and she nearly died..   The second one we either meet or see MAllison Hart. again.  I didn’t watch all of it because it was dinner time and I went out afterwards. I am not sure if I mentioned this or not but the next big marathon is tomorrow and the theme is Lucky Ducky Marathon..  It starts around 9 or ten and that’s good because we are going to be out early tomorrow.  I am sure I will be catching some of it..

Every time I go there I end up getting aggravated by the same rhetoric.  The same shit every day.  The show has lost its chemistry (I don’t think it has), Bishop doesn’t fit in, Gibbs is this that and  the other.  (They have been saying that for like freaking 4 years).  I also get tired of reading “I don’t watch it anymore” or  the constant arguing of why watch it if you don’t like it (which I do actually agree with).  I find myself questioning the reasons for posting at message boards if you don’t watch the show anymore.  I have long since stopped watching a number of shows and I may lurk to see what the atmosphere is like or what if any are the same arguments might be that occurred when I was actively watching.  Its the dead horse beatings.  I also know that these arguments are also not solely at one message board.  It is on a number of them but they seem to handle them better than others. As expected the Ralph Waite Tribute was lovely.  After each of the episodes they used a still of Ralph from “Faith” near the end where Gibbs and Papa talk about what was bothering Jack.  Discussions are still continuing on how the episode the show will honor him.  Unfortunately it still upsets people discussing it.  It was announced today that NCIS will be honoring Ralph and Jack at the end of Season 11. USA had a double episode Friday.  I missed the first one.  there was full marathon Sunday featuring Tony DiNozzo.  YOu can always check the IMDB line up. Pauley Perrette was on David Letterman Friday.  I didn't want to stay up so I had to miss it.  I will probably catch it on youtube or reviews of it.  It got mixed reviews. ONe of TV’s Finest and Iconic actors has died.  Ralph Waite best known for John Walton on The Walton’s has died.  According to The Hollywood Reporter Mr. Waite died Today at his home in South Palm Desert.  He was 85.  He has had a long and notable career.  He also did a stint in Politics when he ran for the late Sonny Bono’s congressional seat.  Many of us in the NCIS fandom got to see him in a role that would be endearing as Jackson Gibbs in the Sixth Season of NCIS.  He has played Jackson several times since then.  It has been all over the net now and it has exploded on Twitter and of course Facebook when the ever talented Erin McDonough announced on her facebook page he had passed. The response to newest member NSA liaison Ellie Bishop was mostly favorable in the circles I am in. Of course it met with mixed on Facebook.  Happily there are more and more people saying get over it.  I swear some people are five year olds.  As I expected the person I mentioned about getting banned from LON was officially banned until the first of the year.  If she does again then she is permanently banned.  I did enjoy it and several times Kate Todd was referenced.  I do have to say MS Emily does remind me of Hudson Leick (Callisto in the Herkdom) she also reminds me of Tracy Pollan.   The next episode is in two weeks I believe.  I believe that one has Diane Gibbs Fornell whom ever she married before (and is apparently now history) and Fornell’s Daughter Emily we met in Season 4.2 “Escaped” episode and she is beautiful 14 year old red-head.  I know of only one person so far who does not want to see this one (among all t...

In Just ten hours is the Veterans Day Episode of NCIS.  I like it because who can not like Jack?  I expect the ratings for this to match the last two episodes as well.  They always seem to increase with DVR numbers.  Despite the clamor of CDP fans saying they are dropping.  If they drop out of the top ten then I will worry.  Many people are insistent that the ratings drop is because CDP is gone.   ATTENTION FANS:  Cote has left the building.     Many thanks to HarrietNCIS the fan liaison for keeping us posted on cast appearances and upcoming episodes.  I was able to catch the Entertainment News programs and of course the interviews.  Michael Weatherly dons a great alligator suit..  The cast also recently did an international (out of LA I guess) press tour.  Many seemed to think they looked lonely up there.  i didn’t see it but  then again I wasn’t really looking. With the latest episode only 10 hours away there has been a lot going on in the NCIS world.  Last week’s episode did well in the ratings despite the mixed reviews from the online fans.  Some felt it was beyond believable that one man can stand up to thugs.    The main point of the episode was to show how women are treated in Afghanistan.  IT didn’t hurt to have in the news the young girl that stood up to soldiers on a bus in Afghanistan being featured and interviewed every where. This week we return to Baltimore as we see a much younger Anthony DiNozzo deal with being a cop in Baltimore.  We had seen pictures earlier this fall previewing this episode.  Some were pretty funny.  TV guide did a cover story with Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly and their respective characters relationships.  There are some really beautifully done pictures.  I wish I could get it but I am not comfortable spending extra money on it. Episode Under the RAdar aired this past week to more favorable reviews from the online groups I belong to.  However, I wasn’t thrilled with it.  THe new opening credits are cool.  The Retiring Agent Vera was obnoxious as all get out.  I guess that’s what happens when you hang out with Mike Franks.  As I think about it this was a segue into next week’s episode.  I missed Michael Weatherly’s song/video but it had been pushed everywhere by everyone. The cast has been tweeting great things.  BTS photos, personal stuff etc.  I replied to M Weatherly’s tweet of his two german shepherds.  He didn’t respond (sad face).  I had to miss his appearance or segment on OMG Insider because of the NJ Governor Debate. Some fans are still upset by the loss of CDP but others within that faction are asking for people “to move on”.  I agree.  It looks like more and more fans are becoming accepting of the end results of this hoopla...

Well Season 11 has begun rather well ratings wise (overall).  IF I am to believe some of the reports and analysis from IMDB and other sources.  As always it got mixed reviews from the fans from various forums.  There were a couple of moments in my viewing that I thought was a little shaky but overall I enjoyed it Just as the season premiere was dawning news that another spinoff was spread throughout the ether.  This time it will be in the hands of Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon.  This led to much speculation from fans.  Questions such as will it be “a real spin-off?” or “will it be good?” It also led to speculation that maybe Mark is pulling back from the role of LJ Gibbs.  It led to concerns this would adversely affect the “mother ship”.  I don’t know what to think.  I would feel bad about not seeing Mark Harmon as much in the show. I tried to watch the Emmy’s on TV to see Mark Harmon but I didn't see him but I did seem on the live feed for the Emmy’s .  He was signing something in the dark. I just have a little problem though.  I sure as hell wouldn’t be tweeting while at the emmy’s.  I would be focusing on the awards and my JOB.  Of course Mark wasn’t tweeting so I wasn’t referring to him but in the videos I did see and what I saw on the TV everyone else was. It is kind of fun being a “fly on the wall” so to speak.  I just checked one of the forums and they said Mark hasn’t been on it yet except a clip from a montage at the beginning.  That’s one of the reasons why I don’t watch these things.  I let them know where you can see stuff and you might be able to see it again. As most of you know for the last few years I have been following actor Muse Watson on the social media sites.  Especially after he appeared as Gibbs’ Boss in the 3rd season two part season finale of NCIS.  As usual you find out he has been in a hundred films and TV series of one genre or another.  I am beginning to re-evaluate that decision. As time went I noticed how he would behave on the two sites he has been on.  I approved his campaign to remove all the false Mark Harmon accounts but then he would make comments about things and would attack others for their views.  I know I may have talked about the time he made a comment about CT Senator Chris Murphy and I defended Senator Murphy and he came up with some snotty ass remark.  I was livid.  He has no BUSINESS to make derogatory remarks about people he doesn’t know.  Most recently a few people commented to him they didn’t like the character of Mike franks and they were respect...

As the news broke about Cote De Pablo's decision to not continue with NCIS the maelstrom that followed was beyond bizarre and questions the mental state of fans.  On the social networking sites fans clamoured they were no longer going to watch NCIS okay that’s fine can understand that but to lose sleep over it and blame the rest of the cast and crew?  Not cool.  To start petitions to get the actress to stay?  Why?  As I posted to one twit on Twitter-good idea force someone to be on a show they don’t want to be.  I can see the resentment for the fans building on that one (I was never one for starting petitions for shows and stuff like that).  I don’t plan on doing it for Mark Harmon when it comes time for him to move on either.  I will be sad that changes happen and I hope I don’t lose sleep over it but I will get over it. Well hello my friends how are you doing?  I wasn’t overly impressed with this week’s episode but I was surprised by its ending.  Of course the reviews from various arenas are the same.  Some liked it some didn’t. Shortly after this episode aired Michael Weatherly was interviewed by a blog site and he posted to his twitter feed and he gave his views rather forcefully (dropped the F-Bomb a couple of times.  Some were disappointed in his choice of words others were fine with it.  Some criticized others for posting their disapproval.  That’s their right.  I wrote my views on this thread . I was able to watch parts of the NCIS marathon yesterday.   They had a few from each season.   It was part of the undercover Ops/undercover cops weekend marathon USA had.   I had gone out in the morning and was ho me at a decent hour.   I also had the opportunity to read so me updates on the fan fiction site.   Several stories had been updated in the last few days and they were pretty good.   I think one or two of them are coming to a close but I thought they were well written. The Daily NCIS block continues to be from season five.   As of this mo me nt it’s Recoil.   I had a mo me ntary feeling of slapping the character Ziva for being at the bar after turning down Tony’s invitation to have a drink.   IF there was ever a ti me to go to a therapist that would have been the ti me . I still haven’t seen this week’s episode on line yet but I will.   There is still some discussion but not as much as I was expecting.   Of course as in the past its gotten mixed reviews but more positive then negative.   It did pretty well in the ratings too from what I gather.   What is surprising me is some people are already discussing next week’s episode. In at least one venue there are several ideas that the return of an agent Dorin (he was in Sins of the Father episode) is an indicator that at least one or more of the cast is leaving or being replaced.   I would really prefer that they don’t add any more people to “the team”.   They have done it for ever from Angel and Buffy to Burn Notice and probably many others I haven’t seen.   I also haven’t seen any indication that the stars are going to leave.   It’s just been supposition and speculation on the part of the viewers and fans and posters. Gotta say wasn't impressed with tonight's episode...i have hard time with the Psych-therapists who think they are god's gift and I just didn't like the way JLC's character was written.  I have had some real losers for therapists and some absolutely wonderful ones. I will have to give it my full attention some other night because tonight i am too tired...Saw promos for next weeks...scratching the head bit.

Has anyone wondered where the cast will go after NCIS is officially over? That is an interesting question Geekery and I my thoughts on it are as follows I think Mark will probably continue acting such as the roles in Prey Series.   I also believe he will be finding new projects with his own production company.   I believe I read this week that the CW will be filming a pilot from Mark’s production company.   I will not presume to say it’s time for him to retire because that annoys me when others do it (even if it is their opinion). I think Michael could possibly be asked to star in movies or another series (be the lead).   He could also start directing and producing just like Mark.   I think Cote De Pablo could go on to other projects as well.   She may also go back to the theater. Sean Murray will probably do everything else as well.   He may be offered more roles in both TV and film.   I am not sure if he does theater but ...
