Awesome News 2020

Awesome news this week. After an shortened TV season because of the Corvid19 the    was some concern that the NCIS franchise had been cancelled out right.  It was announced or confirmed by Sean Murray in a tweet today that the franchise will be returning in September. The Season finale of NCIS "Arizona" was a great episode and it had good reviews from the various platforms I was on.   In equally awesome news Pauley Perrette's Show Broke was cancelled for next season.  In full disclosure I did watch the first episode.  I have mixed views on the episode.  I have not seen the subsequent episodes.  Of course others have and as in all shows some liked and some didn't.  Some are just blindly following her and are oblivious to her instability. I have been spending a lot of time watching and have seen shows I haven't been able to see in a long time.  Including Xena, The Virginian, LHOTP, and show I have only heard of. cbs network fandoms fa...

In 25 days

NCIS Starts .  In all its glory good bad and indifferent.  All summer long there had been many discussions since season 15 ended when  Ziva arrived at Gibbs house to warn of imminent danger (again)..  Fans went bat shit crazy betwen being excited at seeing her return to angry for returning and rewarding the actress for her bad behavior. Many are expecting and on some levels demanding that the character Tony and “their daughter” appear so that they may have a ‘reunion”.  Okay.  Let me know if that happens.  Of course I am going to watch it.  I am also going to accept what is put before me.  They don’t pay me for my opinions and insights.    If I don’t like what I see I may turn it off like I have been a few times this summer and in the past. The articles that came through the internet were fueling the arguments and discussions and among them it said Ziva is going to replace Gibbs.  Of course the “no Gibbs no show”....

Wow

First it would seem that the speculation and wishes of many have come to fruition regarding actress (ahem)Pauley Perrette.  She announced on her twitter page yesterday she will be leaving the hit show at the end of season 15.   I have not been a fan of the actress or the character of Abby for several years now and I am relieved.  However, I do know there are many of you out there that are saddened and confused and for that I am sorry.    IF I never see her on anything I will be happy.  I personally thought she was embarrassment to the show when she first started using social media and she ended up in fights and acting like spoiled child.  She actually made the decision a year ago.  A part of me wonders what it was that spurred her on?   Second, I am so freaking tired of people hijacking threads on the various MB’s I am a member of.   Earlier today someone posted a thread started about Ellie Bishop and someone pops into...

McGee Pops the Question

I was able to see this past week’s episode of NCIS entitled “Love Boat”.  I have to say it was quite good.  I have no problems with Torres or Quinn or the actors who play them.  I would have liked to have seen the reaction from the team on Delilah’s reaction but that may go against the main thought that no one wants to see the “personal side” of the agents.  Everyone did an excellent job. I read the synopsis of the next episode and we get to see Tony Dinozzo Sr.  I thought I read there would be either a surprise  appearance by Michael W and his alter ego in upcoming episodes (per chance Tim and Delilah’s wedding?) it may have been fan speculations. The discussions of Sean Murray’s weight Loss continues and my blood pressure keeps going up and up every time I read it.  I would like it very much of the Admins of any of the forums (mostly on FB) would get off their bums and Please say something.  I don’t care if you agree but really?? Enough...

RIP Gary Glasberg

I hadn't been online hardly at all today so I was quite shocked at the news this evening that Show Runner for NCIS Gary Glasberg died today.  He was 4 years younger than I am! He has been hailed and vilified at the way he had been running NCIS since taking it over from Jesse Stern.  It is all over the internet and forums (how many times are these people going to post the same things on the same sites?)  There will be a memorial service in October. He was survived by his wife Mimi and their two sons and his father.  I did post a message to most of the NCIS cast at twitter and a few fans have "liked" my tweet. Well last night was episode 14.2 and it was a mixed bag.  Clearly it was a homage to the 1980's movie the breakfast club.  They had all the elements of it.  They even had a woman who everything thought (Including me) was Alley sheedy (but it wasn't) in reprisal of her role as the weird/shy girl.  I am still not sure of Jennifer ...

I Think I opened up a can of worms.

This  morning I replied to this episode discussion from the past week  It was my second reply to it this week.  Nicki5of7 and I were discussing Pauley’s interview and her character’s behavior in the episode towards the Internal Affairs guy.  Nicki loves Pauley while clearly I am no longer in enamoured with her.   Actually I don’t think I ever was. Pauley didn’t really touch on the anniversary episode very well.  Her character’s behavior on the show leaves a lot to be desired.   I feel that the cast and crew especially Pauley need to start speaking up about things that no longer work for the character.   If they don’t they (actually my feeling is she will) be typecast for the rest of their career.   This is the 21st century and I don’t believe HOllywood would blackball an actor or anyone if they spoke up about changes for their character or what ever.   I also take exception to PP’s behavior on twitter.  The fo...

Around the NCIS Fandom

As expected the Ralph Waite Tribute was lovely.  After each of the episodes they used a still of Ralph from “Faith” near the end where Gibbs and Papa talk about what was bothering Jack.  Discussions are still continuing on how the episode the show will honor him.  Unfortunately it still upsets people discussing it.  It was announced today that NCIS will be honoring Ralph and Jack at the end of Season 11. USA had a double episode Friday.  I missed the first one.  there was full marathon Sunday featuring Tony DiNozzo.  YOu can always check the IMDB line up. Pauley Perrette was on David Letterman Friday.  I didn't want to stay up so I had to miss it.  I will probably catch it on youtube or reviews of it.  It got mixed reviews. I am looking forward to seeing a new episode tomorrow night.  Every Time I went on FB there was at least a half dozen posts complaining about the repeats (if you live in the freaking US you know this is g...

I have been waiting for this

What have I been waiting for you ask?  For CBS to rebroadcast previous episodes of NCIS on an the weekend.  HUH? You ask?  Well   Every so often CBS will an previous episodes of NCIS on other nights.  They are usually Saturday nights and very rarely Sundays.    CBS  started this practice a few years ago and ever since then I enjoy it.  Well especially if its an episode I like or I had missed before.  They also usually do it during the summer.  They didn’t this year.  I just posted a message on IMDB.com asking if any of them remember.  Oh and the episode is from season 10. Michael Weatherly did a video project with Comedian Sarah Silverstone back in the fall and they both posted the picture of MW dressed up as I have learned as Jesus.  Well apparently it is about Pro-choice and it was released some time in the last couple of days and it is definitely causing a stir in many places.   I have seen ...

In the NCIS World

With the latest episode only 10 hours away there has been a lot going on in the NCIS world.  Last week’s episode did well in the ratings despite the mixed reviews from the online fans.  Some felt it was beyond believable that one man can stand up to thugs.    The main point of the episode was to show how women are treated in Afghanistan.  IT didn’t hurt to have in the news the young girl that stood up to soldiers on a bus in Afghanistan being featured and interviewed every where. This week we return to Baltimore as we see a much younger Anthony DiNozzo deal with being a cop in Baltimore.  We had seen pictures earlier this fall previewing this episode.  Some were pretty funny.  TV guide did a cover story with Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly and their respective characters relationships.  There are some really beautifully done pictures.  I wish I could get it but I am not comfortable spending extra money on it. Ha...

This Week in NCIS World

Episode Under the RAdar aired this past week to more favorable reviews from the online groups I belong to.  However, I wasn’t thrilled with it.  THe new opening credits are cool.  The Retiring Agent Vera was obnoxious as all get out.  I guess that’s what happens when you hang out with Mike Franks.  As I think about it this was a segue into next week’s episode.  I missed Michael Weatherly’s song/video but it had been pushed everywhere by everyone. The cast has been tweeting great things.  BTS photos, personal stuff etc.  I replied to M Weatherly’s tweet of his two german shepherds.  He didn’t respond (sad face).  I had to miss his appearance or segment on OMG Insider because of the NJ Governor Debate. Some fans are still upset by the loss of CDP but others within that faction are asking for people “to move on”.  I agree.  It looks like more and more fans are becoming accepting of the end results of this hoopla...

This Week in the NCIS World

Image
The anticipation of the Season premiere of NCIS is getting heavier in this fan’s life.   Discussions continue of upcoming episodes post Ziva and what to expect for episode 250.   That will be sometime later on in the season.   What ever it is I hope it is done well and received fairly well (uh huh I know not gonna happen). Mark Harmon was a busy man last weekend.   Michigan University honored the Late Tom Harmon (Mark’s father) and his accomplishments for the University as their star Quarterback.   Mr. Harmon was at the game and celebrity commentator and made a speech.   There are number of posts and pictures in various areas of the event.   According to some there was also some rude and uncalled for comments on twitter.   I somehow got on a blog for the team and some of them reviewed his “performance” as being forced.   Okay you want to stand in front of a stadium full of people and not get overwhelmed?   Good luck on that o...
