My NCIS World

  I was watching PBS like I usually do and they rebroadcast a very interesting program.   It was Remembering Leonard Nimoy.   He was the talented actor who brought Star Trek’s Spock to Life.   This program was produced by his Daughter and covered his life from Boston to California and his career.   It also focused on his battle with COPD.    I learned a lot about his personal life and more importantly how he dealt with COPD and how it affected his life.   This program also explained what COPD is and all the medical views of it.    I found it to be very interesting. I saw the latest NCIS episode.   I can’t say it blew my socks off but it was good.    I like seeing how the character Gibbs is dealing with suspension and pretty much think that if they do have him retire it won’t be pretty.   As usual the fandom that I could see had mixed reactions like they usually do.   I still don’t understand why people who don’...

For the last few days or so there have been panic stricken fans posting to the FB that DM announced his leaving after this season.  He literally announced it when he announced MW’s departure last year.    Some are in denial citing that everyone signed a two year deal.  That is true but I don’t recall it including that of DMC2.  The current articles are all from Europe and Australia.  None from the US such as Variety and the others we tend to listen or believe most times.  I guess It will have to wait for the “official word”. Tonight is the “Philadelphia”episode.  We see the return of MI6 Clayton.  It will be very interesting to see if he will be in the bullpen by the end of the episode or will be showing up from time to time like Fornell.  Some are questioning the spacial problems this is presenting for them.   The ratings seem to be very steady for Season 14 so far.  If I understand it correctly NCIS came in 4th pl...

I was able to see this past week’s episode of NCIS entitled “Love Boat”.  I have to say it was quite good.  I have no problems with Torres or Quinn or the actors who play them.  I would have liked to have seen the reaction from the team on Delilah’s reaction but that may go against the main thought that no one wants to see the “personal side” of the agents.  Everyone did an excellent job. I read the synopsis of the next episode and we get to see Tony Dinozzo Sr.  I thought I read there would be either a surprise  appearance by Michael W and his alter ego in upcoming episodes (per chance Tim and Delilah’s wedding?) it may have been fan speculations. The discussions of Sean Murray’s weight Loss continues and my blood pressure keeps going up and up every time I read it.  I would like it very much of the Admins of any of the forums (mostly on FB) would get off their bums and Please say something.  I don’t care if you agree but really?? With the new season of NCIS just a couple of weeks away I thought it would be nice to post one of my rare posts. If you have noticed I haven’t been posting much this past year about the show and the cast and crew or the fandom. You would have to be living under a rock not to know there has been more unrest in the fandom and some of the message boards. Ever since it was announced by David McCallum that Michael Weatherly was leaving and subsequent news reports, and news items, about the final episodes and about his new show.  It was becoming clear to many that there was some bad blood between MW and MH.  I don’t know if there was it could be hype but it upsets me at some of the countless accusations being thrown around. A part of me doesn’t want to believe them just like there were some other suggestions or innuendo about MH and the women co-stars over the years.  Again it could be very well malicious speculation from fans who don’t like the actor.  I also...

The second episode is starting.  I am not liking Tony in the first few moments.  I also didn’t think Michael was that impressive in the ET interview but I have a different sense of humor than others.  Michael did a couple of other interviews I will have to catch online later. Mark Harmon was on Live with Kelly and Michael today it was pretty good except for the fact that yet again the interviewers/research people just had to bring up People Magazines’ Sexiest Man alive.  When Kelly brought up she still had the cover and could look for it and Mark just smiled and told her to get a life in so many words.  They talked about tonight’s episode and his part in NOLA. I am sitting here watching the last nine minutes of ET.  I missed the segment on NOLA that follows the mothership at 9 pm.  I did catch a few interviews that Mark Harmon has  done in the last couple of days.  THere are more next week.  The last two  interviews were pretty good.  I think I missed Extra tonight. ONe of TV’s Finest and Iconic actors has died.  Ralph Waite best known for John Walton on The Walton’s has died.  According to The Hollywood Reporter Mr. Waite died Today at his home in South Palm Desert.  He was 85.  He has had a long and notable career.  He also did a stint in Politics when he ran for the late Sonny Bono’s congressional seat.  Many of us in the NCIS fandom got to see him in a role that would be endearing as Jackson Gibbs in the Sixth Season of NCIS.  He has played Jackson several times since then.  It has been all over the net now and it has exploded on Twitter and of course Facebook when the ever talented Erin McDonough announced on her facebook page he had passed. Yesterday sometime DigitalSpy online magazine posted an article with the talented David McCallum on many things including the departure of one Cote De Pablo and it revealed that it caused a great deal of anguish and frustration for those left behind.  This revelation was received with mixed reaction.  Some supported his candor and others rebuked him (check out twitter and Tumblr).  You may have to do a search it seemed to be very little when I checked on Twitter but I seem to have issues when I am searching.  I get some recent stuff and some really old non relevant stuff that I missed.    Anyway responses on Facebook have been minimal (at least from this view but I think give it time).  The rest of the article was about a possible Man from Uncle Reunion and I don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon.   I saw last night’s episode and for a few minor nitpicks it was great.  As always getting mixed reviews.  It would be nic...

Well today is the day where many of my fellow American get ready for the all important football game of the season.  They get their Super Bowl supplies for the parties, their menus etc. The networks, and cable stations/networks plan their schedules in honor of this day.  There is a puppy Bowl, kitty bowl, and from what I am told a fish bowl (no lie).  Unfortunately no NCIS marathon.  Although we do get a OTS episode at 9 pm tomorrow.  Yay.. Let’s see..NCIS still did pretty good in the ratings this week despite some people’s insistence that it isn’t doing well at all because of Bishop and the writing.  I am looking forward to next week’s episode despite some people’s fears that Bishop is becoming another Mary Sue Character.  Other’s continue call for her removal and the return of CDP.  Le Sigh... People are still upset about the Video that Michael Weatherly did with Sarah Silverman.  It isn’t as prevalent as the most recent Bishop bashing...

I tried to watch the Emmy’s on TV to see Mark Harmon but I didn't see him but I did seem on the live feed for the Emmy’s .  He was signing something in the dark. I just have a little problem though.  I sure as hell wouldn’t be tweeting while at the emmy’s.  I would be focusing on the awards and my JOB.  Of course Mark wasn’t tweeting so I wasn’t referring to him but in the videos I did see and what I saw on the TV everyone else was. It is kind of fun being a “fly on the wall” so to speak.  I just checked one of the forums and they said Mark hasn’t been on it yet except a clip from a montage at the beginning.  That’s one of the reasons why I don’t watch these things.  I let them know where you can see stuff and you might be able to see it again. Wow last week’s episode sparked off controversy.   Many fans and viewers (at least on line) were angry and disgusted with the episode and how SFA DiNozzo was written.   I wasn’t blown away by the episode myself but I enjoyed other parts.   The remaining episodes have many denouncing the show and the writers.   Some are claiming not to return as viewers and have said it has jumped the shark now that it has been announced that Muse Watson’s character Mike Franks is returning.   The whole “if you don’t like don’t watch debate continues.   Unfortunately I happen to agree with the “don’t like don’t watch” faction.   I don’t care if you liked it once and want it to return to your specifications.   If the cast likes what is happening then why would you want to make them unhappy-again? AT the same time I do wonder if the cast and crew really do listen and realize that the path they chose to take could make their show a laughing stock.   ...

I still haven’t seen this week’s episode on line yet but I will.   There is still some discussion but not as much as I was expecting.   Of course as in the past its gotten mixed reviews but more positive then negative.   It did pretty well in the ratings too from what I gather.   What is surprising me is some people are already discussing next week’s episode. In at least one venue there are several ideas that the return of an agent Dorin (he was in Sins of the Father episode) is an indicator that at least one or more of the cast is leaving or being replaced.   I would really prefer that they don’t add any more people to “the team”.   They have done it for ever from Angel and Buffy to Burn Notice and probably many others I haven’t seen.   I also haven’t seen any indication that the stars are going to leave.   It’s just been supposition and speculation on the part of the viewers and fans and posters. Pauley perrett confirmed it.  However in her exuberence she is letting her frustrations show when her "followers" continue to ask about facebook and to get the others to join the social networks.  She is already annoying me with her attitude.  She isn't being funny in my view.   She may be joking around but it is coming off very unflattering.
