My NCIS World

    I have been a fan of the T V show NCIS now for years.   It was starting its 3 rd or 4 th season when I became a regular viewer.    As time went on I saw the earlier episodes and got caught up.   I enjoyed the cast for the most part.   As the years passed each of the characters, actors, and writing annoyed me.   What was worse was some of the message boards and forums.   Some were of like minds, some would criticize it from the get go.   The worst time was at the end of winter and beginning of spring.   We all were waiting to hear if the show or the cast would renew their contracts.   We read articles (some of them were click bait and I learned which ones to believe) on the cast and crew.   All kinds of things sprung up.   IF the show changed people stopped watching but they still freaking post on episodes they haven’t watched or seen.   I mean how stupid can that be? Awesome news this week. After an shortened TV season because of the Corvid19 the    was some concern that the NCIS franchise had been cancelled out right.  It was announced or confirmed by Sean Murray in a tweet today that the franchise will be returning in September. The Season finale of NCIS "Arizona" was a great episode and it had good reviews from the various platforms I was on.   In equally awesome news Pauley Perrette's Show Broke was cancelled for next season.  In full disclosure I did watch the first episode.  I have mixed views on the episode.  I have not seen the subsequent episodes.  Of course others have and as in all shows some liked and some didn't.  Some are just blindly following her and are oblivious to her instability. Holy Crap just learned that Criminal Minds is ending after season 15!!!!  I am not a regular viewer when its first run but occasionally when it shows up on ION or WE or whatever other channel it will be on .   That being said even though it was reported on TV Guide site I may have to wait and see because many people are currently worried or believing various headlines that Sean Murray is leaving NCIS.  I have posted a few times in response they need to read further into the articles. That there are no indications of his leaving and they are rumors they are getting from people asking questions to columns or assumptions on various message boards.  Not really sure we should be putting a lot of trust to ET show either. Mind you when Duane Henry posted about his exit from the show it was after his final episode and he couldn’t say anything until much later. There is about 8 weeks until the season premiere of NCIS 15th Season. You would have to be living under a rock (or probably some far off planet unknown to man)not to know there have been changes and rumors running rampant. Just as soon as the rumors are squelched someone else brings them up again.  They could be about the end of NCIS to Mark Harmon’s Health status.  Tonight on ET Pauley Perrette will be responding to the ones primarily about her (I am guessing) and the skin care and why they are firing her (They are not firing her) but she is concerned that her job and her name could be sullied because of it.  Personally I wish they would. The writers are not doing her or her fans or the show’s fans by writing her like a spazoid and spoiled child. The news flew through the NCIS fandom yesterday that season 12 was a go.  Many of us had no doubts.  Others did.  Many are hoping that Emly Wickersham’s character will be gone and you know who has returned.  Should I state the obvious? Today’s double episodes were from season 7.   They are Jetlag and Masquerade..  The first episode brought a lot of criticism because the agents left their charge alone and she nearly died..   The second one we either meet or see MAllison Hart. again.  I didn’t watch all of it because it was dinner time and I went out afterwards. I am not sure if I mentioned this or not but the next big marathon is tomorrow and the theme is Lucky Ducky Marathon..  It starts around 9 or ten and that’s good because we are going to be out early tomorrow.  I am sure I will be catching some of it..

As expected the Ralph Waite Tribute was lovely.  After each of the episodes they used a still of Ralph from “Faith” near the end where Gibbs and Papa talk about what was bothering Jack.  Discussions are still continuing on how the episode the show will honor him.  Unfortunately it still upsets people discussing it.  It was announced today that NCIS will be honoring Ralph and Jack at the end of Season 11. USA had a double episode Friday.  I missed the first one.  there was full marathon Sunday featuring Tony DiNozzo.  YOu can always check the IMDB line up. Pauley Perrette was on David Letterman Friday.  I didn't want to stay up so I had to miss it.  I will probably catch it on youtube or reviews of it.  It got mixed reviews. What have I been waiting for you ask?  For CBS to rebroadcast previous episodes of NCIS on an the weekend.  HUH? You ask?  Well   Every so often CBS will an previous episodes of NCIS on other nights.  They are usually Saturday nights and very rarely Sundays.    CBS  started this practice a few years ago and ever since then I enjoy it.  Well especially if its an episode I like or I had missed before.  They also usually do it during the summer.  They didn’t this year.  I just posted a message on IMDB.com asking if any of them remember.  Oh and the episode is from season 10. As most of you know for the last few years I have been following actor Muse Watson on the social media sites.  Especially after he appeared as Gibbs’ Boss in the 3rd season two part season finale of NCIS.  As usual you find out he has been in a hundred films and TV series of one genre or another.  I am beginning to re-evaluate that decision. As time went I noticed how he would behave on the two sites he has been on.  I approved his campaign to remove all the false Mark Harmon accounts but then he would make comments about things and would attack others for their views.  I know I may have talked about the time he made a comment about CT Senator Chris Murphy and I defended Senator Murphy and he came up with some snotty ass remark.  I was livid.  He has no BUSINESS to make derogatory remarks about people he doesn’t know.  Most recently a few people commented to him they didn’t like the character of Mike franks and they were respect...

As the news broke about Cote De Pablo's decision to not continue with NCIS the maelstrom that followed was beyond bizarre and questions the mental state of fans.  On the social networking sites fans clamoured they were no longer going to watch NCIS okay that’s fine can understand that but to lose sleep over it and blame the rest of the cast and crew?  Not cool.  To start petitions to get the actress to stay?  Why?  As I posted to one twit on Twitter-good idea force someone to be on a show they don’t want to be.  I can see the resentment for the fans building on that one (I was never one for starting petitions for shows and stuff like that).  I don’t plan on doing it for Mark Harmon when it comes time for him to move on either.  I will be sad that changes happen and I hope I don’t lose sleep over it but I will get over it. The following is an email I sent to the moderators of the CBS NCIS Moderators when I discovered my posts in the last two days were not being posted but yet I am still a member of the group. Prior to this they were all posted. “I would like to know why my messages are not being posted?  I have been making sure I snip all the information you have asked to be snipped.  I have been more than fair in my posts and I am rather surprised at this.  IF it was to change then you need to let me know.”   This isn’t the first email to be “ignored” either.  When there is an email listed on the group page that clearly means we are allowed to contact them if we have issues of any kind.  I find this to be rather unprofessional and petty at best. I know I haven’t been writing much about NCIS lately.   Mostly because how many times do you want to read that the same thing is going on that was going on months ago?   Anyway, the new episodes started earlier this month and for me they were good.   The episodes themselves met with mixed reviews as usual.   The two part episode that killed off to favorite characters did well in the ratings and in the public opinion.   Yet many still called for Cote De Pablo’s firing and or removal.   It didn’t help with an article that clearly indicated there have been troubles on the set. I was able to watch parts of the NCIS marathon yesterday.   They had a few from each season.   It was part of the undercover Ops/undercover cops weekend marathon USA had.   I had gone out in the morning and was ho me at a decent hour.   I also had the opportunity to read so me updates on the fan fiction site.   Several stories had been updated in the last few days and they were pretty good.   I think one or two of them are coming to a close but I thought they were well written.
