My NCIS World

    I have been a fan of the T V show NCIS now for years.   It was starting its 3 rd or 4 th season when I became a regular viewer.    As time went on I saw the earlier episodes and got caught up.   I enjoyed the cast for the most part.   As the years passed each of the characters, actors, and writing annoyed me.   What was worse was some of the message boards and forums.   Some were of like minds, some would criticize it from the get go.   The worst time was at the end of winter and beginning of spring.   We all were waiting to hear if the show or the cast would renew their contracts.   We read articles (some of them were click bait and I learned which ones to believe) on the cast and crew.   All kinds of things sprung up.   IF the show changed people stopped watching but they still freaking post on episodes they haven’t watched or seen.   I mean how stupid can that be? NCIS Starts .  In all its glory good bad and indifferent.  All summer long there had been many discussions since season 15 ended when  Ziva arrived at Gibbs house to warn of imminent danger (again)..  Fans went bat shit crazy betwen being excited at seeing her return to angry for returning and rewarding the actress for her bad behavior. Many are expecting and on some levels demanding that the character Tony and “their daughter” appear so that they may have a ‘reunion”.  Okay.  Let me know if that happens.  Of course I am going to watch it.  I am also going to accept what is put before me.  They don’t pay me for my opinions and insights.    If I don’t like what I see I may turn it off like I have been a few times this summer and in the past. The articles that came through the internet were fueling the arguments and discussions and among them it said Ziva is going to replace Gibbs.  Of course the “no Gibbs no show”....

Holy Crap just learned that Criminal Minds is ending after season 15!!!!  I am not a regular viewer when its first run but occasionally when it shows up on ION or WE or whatever other channel it will be on .   That being said even though it was reported on TV Guide site I may have to wait and see because many people are currently worried or believing various headlines that Sean Murray is leaving NCIS.  I have posted a few times in response they need to read further into the articles. That there are no indications of his leaving and they are rumors they are getting from people asking questions to columns or assumptions on various message boards.  Not really sure we should be putting a lot of trust to ET show either. Mind you when Duane Henry posted about his exit from the show it was after his final episode and he couldn’t say anything until much later. I was able to catch a number of episodes and as I watched them I got the feeling it was their ABBY marathon.  One of the first clues was Dog Tags and I went through the list and noticed it was that.  was pointed out on one of the forums.  It may been pointed out on FB.  Along with all episodes were dedicated to the Memory of Gary Glasberg.  It was a nice touch. The next marathon is Monday and Wednesday.  Monday's looks like it is from Season one.  I was quite surprised to see that CBS is repeating Yankee White.  I may be wrong I will have to check the schedule and Sue's lists as well.

I hadn't been online hardly at all today so I was quite shocked at the news this evening that Show Runner for NCIS Gary Glasberg died today.  He was 4 years younger than I am! He has been hailed and vilified at the way he had been running NCIS since taking it over from Jesse Stern.  It is all over the internet and forums (how many times are these people going to post the same things on the same sites?)  There will be a memorial service in October. He was survived by his wife Mimi and their two sons and his father.  I did post a message to most of the NCIS cast at twitter and a few fans have "liked" my tweet. Well last night was episode 14.2 and it was a mixed bag.  Clearly it was a homage to the 1980's movie the breakfast club.  They had all the elements of it.  They even had a woman who everything thought (Including me) was Alley sheedy (but it wasn't) in reprisal of her role as the weird/shy girl.  I am still not sure of Jennifer ...

As expected the Ralph Waite Tribute was lovely.  After each of the episodes they used a still of Ralph from “Faith” near the end where Gibbs and Papa talk about what was bothering Jack.  Discussions are still continuing on how the episode the show will honor him.  Unfortunately it still upsets people discussing it.  It was announced today that NCIS will be honoring Ralph and Jack at the end of Season 11. USA had a double episode Friday.  I missed the first one.  there was full marathon Sunday featuring Tony DiNozzo.  YOu can always check the IMDB line up. Pauley Perrette was on David Letterman Friday.  I didn't want to stay up so I had to miss it.  I will probably catch it on youtube or reviews of it.  It got mixed reviews. Condolences continue to pour into the NCIS Facebook page for the cast and crew of NCIS on the loss of Ralph Waite.  Requests for tribute episodes also have been given and a number of people insert the “BBC” mantra.  They were chided for it and rightfully so.   There is a lovely story honoring the characters of Jackson at     Mark Harmon Addicts .  It was uncanny because I was hoping someone would write this.  I add my hope that the writers on the show do equal if not better justice.  USA will pay tribute to Ralph Waite on Wednesday February 19, 2014 for a marathon. ONe of TV’s Finest and Iconic actors has died.  Ralph Waite best known for John Walton on The Walton’s has died.  According to The Hollywood Reporter Mr. Waite died Today at his home in South Palm Desert.  He was 85.  He has had a long and notable career.  He also did a stint in Politics when he ran for the late Sonny Bono’s congressional seat.  Many of us in the NCIS fandom got to see him in a role that would be endearing as Jackson Gibbs in the Sixth Season of NCIS.  He has played Jackson several times since then.  It has been all over the net now and it has exploded on Twitter and of course Facebook when the ever talented Erin McDonough announced on her facebook page he had passed. Well today is the day where many of my fellow American get ready for the all important football game of the season.  They get their Super Bowl supplies for the parties, their menus etc. The networks, and cable stations/networks plan their schedules in honor of this day.  There is a puppy Bowl, kitty bowl, and from what I am told a fish bowl (no lie).  Unfortunately no NCIS marathon.  Although we do get a OTS episode at 9 pm tomorrow.  Yay.. Let’s see..NCIS still did pretty good in the ratings this week despite some people’s insistence that it isn’t doing well at all because of Bishop and the writing.  I am looking forward to next week’s episode despite some people’s fears that Bishop is becoming another Mary Sue Character.  Other’s continue call for her removal and the return of CDP.  Le Sigh... People are still upset about the Video that Michael Weatherly did with Sarah Silverman.  It isn’t as prevalent as the most recent Bishop bashing...

The response to newest member NSA liaison Ellie Bishop was mostly favorable in the circles I am in. Of course it met with mixed on Facebook.  Happily there are more and more people saying get over it.  I swear some people are five year olds.  As I expected the person I mentioned about getting banned from LON was officially banned until the first of the year.  If she does again then she is permanently banned.  I did enjoy it and several times Kate Todd was referenced.  I do have to say MS Emily does remind me of Hudson Leick (Callisto in the Herkdom) she also reminds me of Tracy Pollan.   The next episode is in two weeks I believe.  I believe that one has Diane Gibbs Fornell whom ever she married before (and is apparently now history) and Fornell’s Daughter Emily we met in Season 4.2 “Escaped” episode and she is beautiful 14 year old red-head.  I know of only one person so far who does not want to see this one (among all t...

In about 13 hours 20 minutes we will be introduced to Ellie Bishop played by Soprano’s alum Emily  Wickersham.  Do I have to tell you the rabid fans are not even liking her already based on the promos that came out?  Happily for everyone who sounds like a freaking 4 year old (and I even had to ask someone on the Facebook page for the show how old they were) there was a sane person saying “move on”. These people invade every freaking thread with “Ziva is the holy grail of characters”.  As it is there was one poster both on the NCIS fan wiki and the Land of NCIS who keeps insisting that the show is not the same and the show is going down hill has already been banned from the sites.  I know for sure she was banned from one and is dangerously close to getting thrown off LON. Episode Under the RAdar aired this past week to more favorable reviews from the online groups I belong to.  However, I wasn’t thrilled with it.  THe new opening credits are cool.  The Retiring Agent Vera was obnoxious as all get out.  I guess that’s what happens when you hang out with Mike Franks.  As I think about it this was a segue into next week’s episode.  I missed Michael Weatherly’s song/video but it had been pushed everywhere by everyone. The cast has been tweeting great things.  BTS photos, personal stuff etc.  I replied to M Weatherly’s tweet of his two german shepherds.  He didn’t respond (sad face).  I had to miss his appearance or segment on OMG Insider because of the NJ Governor Debate. Some fans are still upset by the loss of CDP but others within that faction are asking for people “to move on”.  I agree.  It looks like more and more fans are becoming accepting of the end results of this hoopla...

This week is the Season premiere of NCIS in its 11th Season. This is the most anticipated Season premiere.  For the fans of the show because they want to see how well the TPTB got out of the situation they were in May.   The TIVA fans because they want to know if Ziva/CDP will be honored in the way they are supposedly entitled. (note:  If any other “ship” fans were doing the same kind of crap that was pulled this summer I would be down on them too).  TPTB including cast and crew are probably anxious as well.  They want to know if they pleased the viewers/fans or not. I haven’t checked this morning if there were more articles on the season premiere but I will check shortly.  I know there are a lot of articles and reviews of the Emmy’s and many commented on Mark Harmon including PP.  They were all positive remarks.  I just hope we get the interviews.  I am sure we will get them on OMGinsider and ET. Very busy week.   Prayers to the members of the real NCIS in DC and around the world after this week's attack by one gunman .  They are investigating the shooting there.  ET and other Entertainment news got reactions from the cast and crew of the NCIS series. More and more reviews of the new season for NCIS and more comments from fans etc. Articles left and right too. Happy Birthday to David McCallum who turned 80 this week.  I found many blogs that mentioned him.  :)I will add his birthday to my birthday list soon.. I was able to watch parts of the NCIS marathon yesterday.   They had a few from each season.   It was part of the undercover Ops/undercover cops weekend marathon USA had.   I had gone out in the morning and was ho me at a decent hour.   I also had the opportunity to read so me updates on the fan fiction site.   Several stories had been updated in the last few days and they were pretty good.   I think one or two of them are coming to a close but I thought they were well written. The Daily NCIS block continues to be from season five.   As of this mo me nt it’s Recoil.   I had a mo me ntary feeling of slapping the character Ziva for being at the bar after turning down Tony’s invitation to have a drink.   IF there was ever a ti me to go to a therapist that would have been the ti me . I still haven’t seen this week’s episode on line yet but I will.   There is still some discussion but not as much as I was expecting.   Of course as in the past its gotten mixed reviews but more positive then negative.   It did pretty well in the ratings too from what I gather.   What is surprising me is some people are already discussing next week’s episode. In at least one venue there are several ideas that the return of an agent Dorin (he was in Sins of the Father episode) is an indicator that at least one or more of the cast is leaving or being replaced.   I would really prefer that they don’t add any more people to “the team”.   They have done it for ever from Angel and Buffy to Burn Notice and probably many others I haven’t seen.   I also haven’t seen any indication that the stars are going to leave.   It’s just been supposition and speculation on the part of the viewers and fans and posters. Hi, again, everyone. Just when you think nothing could've been better than yesterday's 200th episode celebration, our first original episode of the New Year attracts over twenty millions viewers! So once again, thanks everyone for your loyalty to our series; it is much appreciated by all of us at "NCIS." By now, the photos and stories about yesterday's occasion are starting to emerge, especially those Tweeted by our cast, writers, producers and CBS. The network executives were in attendance yesterday, and we're still glowing from their warm, congratulatory words as they toasted our success. We're still filming the 200th episode, "Life Before His Eyes," and I think the title is descriptive of what we NCISers were reminiscing about yesterday: how far we've all come together. I just finished watching the last hour of the mid-week NCIS marathon.   The first few hours I guess included the season one episodes.   The 8 pm and 9 pm were from season seven and the “new to USA episodes” season 8 “ Baltimore ”.   There is another marathon on Friday.   It is so me thing about romance I think it is called “Agents of Love” marathon.   That title should go over well. The previews for Next week’s Christmas episode are getting mixed reviews.   So me wanted to have the characters DiNozzo and McGee be the ones to help with the delivery instead of Gibbs.   UH hello two reasons I could think of for this.   Mark Harmon and his character are the lead in/on the show!!!! I really loved the Thanksgiving Day marathon it was aweso me .   I got to see so me of it before the family arrived and I saw the last one before the holiday weekend started.   There is one tomorrow starting at 9 AM.   I think it lasts until 11 tomorrow night.   I will be a happy camper. Next week’s CBS airing is a repeat so I won’t be watching it-I might don’t know yet.    I finally got to watch last weeks episode there was so me buffering and stalling but I just muddled through it.   I have to retract my original “review” from Tuesday.   I did find the initial interrogation a little spooky as I could imagine that kind of discussion going on in RL. The episode is on right now and within 3 minutes of it being on I feel this episode should have been moved or bumped to another time especially in light of the current situation that’s going on right now.   I didn’t even bother to watch the entertainment news reports because they had more reports.   Actually I did see something and I am not even sure what it was about but from what I gather it wasn’t good.   I don’t know whose idea was even to let this get produced or even filmed and I think it behooved the Silver haired Fox to have stepped in and suggest that it not be done.   Please don’t tell me these people don’t have a say in what gets done.   I have heard stories over the years in which cast members from various projects have been able to speak their minds when it comes to certain things.   This was the height of irresponsibility.   I am really very disappointed in the cast and crew and the programming department at CBS network.
