My NCIS World

Awesome news this week. After an shortened TV season because of the Corvid19 the    was some concern that the NCIS franchise had been cancelled out right.  It was announced or confirmed by Sean Murray in a tweet today that the franchise will be returning in September. The Season finale of NCIS "Arizona" was a great episode and it had good reviews from the various platforms I was on.   In equally awesome news Pauley Perrette's Show Broke was cancelled for next season.  In full disclosure I did watch the first episode.  I have mixed views on the episode.  I have not seen the subsequent episodes.  Of course others have and as in all shows some liked and some didn't.  Some are just blindly following her and are oblivious to her instability. I was able to see this past week’s episode of NCIS entitled “Love Boat”.  I have to say it was quite good.  I have no problems with Torres or Quinn or the actors who play them.  I would have liked to have seen the reaction from the team on Delilah’s reaction but that may go against the main thought that no one wants to see the “personal side” of the agents.  Everyone did an excellent job. I read the synopsis of the next episode and we get to see Tony Dinozzo Sr.  I thought I read there would be either a surprise  appearance by Michael W and his alter ego in upcoming episodes (per chance Tim and Delilah’s wedding?) it may have been fan speculations. The discussions of Sean Murray’s weight Loss continues and my blood pressure keeps going up and up every time I read it.  I would like it very much of the Admins of any of the forums (mostly on FB) would get off their bums and Please say something.  I don’t care if you agree but really?? Enough...

I hadn't been online hardly at all today so I was quite shocked at the news this evening that Show Runner for NCIS Gary Glasberg died today.  He was 4 years younger than I am! He has been hailed and vilified at the way he had been running NCIS since taking it over from Jesse Stern.  It is all over the internet and forums (how many times are these people going to post the same things on the same sites?)  There will be a memorial service in October. He was survived by his wife Mimi and their two sons and his father.  I did post a message to most of the NCIS cast at twitter and a few fans have "liked" my tweet. Well last night was episode 14.2 and it was a mixed bag.  Clearly it was a homage to the 1980's movie the breakfast club.  They had all the elements of it.  They even had a woman who everything thought (Including me) was Alley sheedy (but it wasn't) in reprisal of her role as the weird/shy girl.  I am still not sure of Jennifer ...

I am sitting here watching the last nine minutes of ET.  I missed the segment on NOLA that follows the mothership at 9 pm.  I did catch a few interviews that Mark Harmon has  done in the last couple of days.  THere are more next week.  The last two  interviews were pretty good.  I think I missed Extra tonight. Even though I didn’t write much for NCIS and its fandom this summer I have been actively posting at various sites.  The forums and messages were discussion the upcoming season, the postseason discussions were very positive despite the fact that some circles continued to inflame the whole Ziva/Cote De Pablo debacle.   Fans shared their close encounters of the stars when they went to OK for the annual Mark Harmon Celebrity Weekend, and one on ones with the cast. okay here its...Opens in Moscow Russia.  Wow this is great...new opening credits (will have to check them out later tonight).. Every time I go there I end up getting aggravated by the same rhetoric.  The same shit every day.  The show has lost its chemistry (I don’t think it has), Bishop doesn’t fit in, Gibbs is this that and  the other.  (They have been saying that for like freaking 4 years).  I also get tired of reading “I don’t watch it anymore” or  the constant arguing of why watch it if you don’t like it (which I do actually agree with).  I find myself questioning the reasons for posting at message boards if you don’t watch the show anymore.  I have long since stopped watching a number of shows and I may lurk to see what the atmosphere is like or what if any are the same arguments might be that occurred when I was actively watching.  Its the dead horse beatings.  I also know that these arguments are also not solely at one message board.  It is on a number of them but they seem to handle them better than others. As most of you know for the last few years I have been following actor Muse Watson on the social media sites.  Especially after he appeared as Gibbs’ Boss in the 3rd season two part season finale of NCIS.  As usual you find out he has been in a hundred films and TV series of one genre or another.  I am beginning to re-evaluate that decision. As time went I noticed how he would behave on the two sites he has been on.  I approved his campaign to remove all the false Mark Harmon accounts but then he would make comments about things and would attack others for their views.  I know I may have talked about the time he made a comment about CT Senator Chris Murphy and I defended Senator Murphy and he came up with some snotty ass remark.  I was livid.  He has no BUSINESS to make derogatory remarks about people he doesn’t know.  Most recently a few people commented to him they didn’t like the character of Mike franks and they were respect...

As the news broke about Cote De Pablo's decision to not continue with NCIS the maelstrom that followed was beyond bizarre and questions the mental state of fans.  On the social networking sites fans clamoured they were no longer going to watch NCIS okay that’s fine can understand that but to lose sleep over it and blame the rest of the cast and crew?  Not cool.  To start petitions to get the actress to stay?  Why?  As I posted to one twit on Twitter-good idea force someone to be on a show they don’t want to be.  I can see the resentment for the fans building on that one (I was never one for starting petitions for shows and stuff like that).  I don’t plan on doing it for Mark Harmon when it comes time for him to move on either.  I will be sad that changes happen and I hope I don’t lose sleep over it but I will get over it. I still haven’t seen this week’s episode on line yet but I will.   There is still some discussion but not as much as I was expecting.   Of course as in the past its gotten mixed reviews but more positive then negative.   It did pretty well in the ratings too from what I gather.   What is surprising me is some people are already discussing next week’s episode. In at least one venue there are several ideas that the return of an agent Dorin (he was in Sins of the Father episode) is an indicator that at least one or more of the cast is leaving or being replaced.   I would really prefer that they don’t add any more people to “the team”.   They have done it for ever from Angel and Buffy to Burn Notice and probably many others I haven’t seen.   I also haven’t seen any indication that the stars are going to leave.   It’s just been supposition and speculation on the part of the viewers and fans and posters. Gotta say wasn't impressed with tonight's episode...i have hard time with the Psych-therapists who think they are god's gift and I just didn't like the way JLC's character was written.  I have had some real losers for therapists and some absolutely wonderful ones. I will have to give it my full attention some other night because tonight i am too tired...Saw promos for next weeks...scratching the head bit.

Happy NCIS Day everyone how are you?   I am doing fairly well for a Tuesday morning.   I am leaving for work shortly but I just wanted to share so me things. It has been nearly a week since the Harmon Family has lost the beautiful Elyse Knox.   There had been several Google alerts and discussions of support and condolences since then.   You can still contribute to Lang Foundation (the animal adoption organization) in Mrs. Harmon’s na me .   I have yet to do it but I will. Another discussion on the state of Sean Murray’s Health appeared on IMDB in the last couple of days which sparked off a disagreement .   The Author of the thread and subsequent people who are supporting them need to re me mber that while they are indeed entitled to opinions on things their suppositions, assumptions based on what they see and not what they have read doesn’t me an they should express these things.   This sense of entitle me nt that we have to judge or criticiz...

Has anyone wondered where the cast will go after NCIS is officially over? That is an interesting question Geekery and I my thoughts on it are as follows I think Mark will probably continue acting such as the roles in Prey Series.   I also believe he will be finding new projects with his own production company.   I believe I read this week that the CW will be filming a pilot from Mark’s production company.   I will not presume to say it’s time for him to retire because that annoys me when others do it (even if it is their opinion). I think Michael could possibly be asked to star in movies or another series (be the lead).   He could also start directing and producing just like Mark.   I think Cote De Pablo could go on to other projects as well.   She may also go back to the theater. Sean Murray will probably do everything else as well.   He may be offered more roles in both TV and film.   I am not sure if he does theater but ...
