Around the fandom
Hey I am still here everyone. I have been sort of busy with RL. There has been a lot going on in the NCIS fandom. I have been visiting the forums one which will be sadly closing at the end of the month. I have been watching the marathon’s the most recent was the Dear Abby Marathon last night.
I was saddened to learn that The Land Of NCIS Forum would be closing at the end of March. It was sad but not unexpected for the following reasons. There had been increasing amount of infighting among the me mbers over various aspects of characters, the show and it veered off to personal attacks and their rights. I am pretty sure I stayed out of it because I know it would be a losing battle.
Some individuals continue to fight for their right to continually complain about the show and resent being told to stop watching the show if you don’t like it. Well you know what? That’s the adult thing to do. Why watch a freaking show if it is no longer entertaining you? We get it you don’t like the way it is going. But you don’t have the right to claim it is going downhill. The writers do NOT have to write it to the fans wishes it’s their fucking story and they will tell it the way they want.
Also people’s views are not going to necessarily change to your view. I agree all should be respectful …Not this constantly back and forth stuff. Another thing…running to the web master/owner when he clearly has personal issues to deal with of his own could have been avoided.
Another subject that has been causing concern at one or two forums is the news or the idea that Pauley Perrette is considering leaving the show and the US to protect herself from a stalker. She has had one for ever and unfortunately the police in LA have said they can’t do anything unless they physically harm the victim.
The debate of her value on the show some are already expressing their beliefs that she should leave because she is not being used frequently and some pretty good info is going on…here
I was able to see Michael Weatherly’s interview on The Ellen show last week very good. Ellen’s staff gave a gift of a one piece shirt with “agent Weatherly” and a holster for the binky. Apparently Michael was the first from NCIS to be on the show. Do you think its time the others went on?
It is still another two weeks until a new episode airs for NCIS. Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Dr. Ryan and this time joined by Sean Astin (AKA Sam Gamgee of LOTR).
I think there is six more new episodes so there will be another session of reruns before the season is over. I can’t believe the 9th season is almost over. I am happy because despite what I have read from various forums the show is still successful and bringing new fans both first run and secondary episodes to the show.
However, I can’t help but think or wonder if the cast and crew do get the views and me ssages from various fans. How do they feel? Do they dismiss them or do they take it to heart?
