RIP David McCallum

Earlier this week I learned that actor and Ncis favorite  medical Examiner David McCallum died six days after his 90th birthday.

I get so tired..

On a weekly basis threads on different (mostly FB) NCIS related boards get hijacked for one thing or another. Most recently an article that was posted read CBS cancels fan favorite after Lead Actor quits (for any of you who have been sleeping Its about Bull and Michael Weatherly. On a side note I wonder what happened first the cancellation or the actor announcing in Twitter he was leaving?) Someone posted that MH should come back. They don't like Gary Cole's addition. I finally had to say this isn't about NCIS and how I wished people would stop hijacking threads. I get so tired of the constant bring back MH. He finally did what he has been saying he is going to do. Move from the front of the camera to behind. He is still there. Maybe not every day (I have no idea what producers actually do) There are some people think he is off doing retirement things with his family and wife. I find that rather presumptuous. I also get tired of the bring back so a...

I watched a very interesting program recently

I was watching PBS like I usually do and they rebroadcast a very interesting program.   It was Remembering Leonard Nimoy.   He was the talented actor who brought Star Trek’s Spock to Life.   This program was produced by his Daughter and covered his life from Boston to California and his career.   It also focused on his battle with COPD.    I learned a lot about his personal life and more importantly how he dealt with COPD and how it affected his life.   This program also explained what COPD is and all the medical views of it.    I found it to be very interesting. I saw the latest NCIS episode.   I can’t say it blew my socks off but it was good.    I like seeing how the character Gibbs is dealing with suspension and pretty much think that if they do have him retire it won’t be pretty.   As usual the fandom that I could see had mixed reactions like they usually do.   I still don’t understand why people who don’...

NCIS Fans

Many NCIS fans were in an uproar when they sat down to watch what they thought was going to be a new episode and it was the repeat of Maria Bello’s last episode.  They were outraged it seemed.  I was slightly disappointed but considering the news event of the day (for any of you living on Mars or in another  universe-The Police officer Chauvin  was found Guilty on all three counts).  I don’t know if any other network chose to do this or not but it's understandable.  History and news all happened today.  Many say it is accountability.

ncis

I have been a fan of the T V show NCIS now for years.   It was starting its 3 rd or 4 th season when I became a regular viewer.    As time went on I saw the earlier episodes and got caught up.   I enjoyed the cast for the most part.   As the years passed each of the characters, actors, and writing annoyed me.   What was worse was some of the message boards and forums.   Some were of like minds, some would criticize it from the get go.   The worst time was at the end of winter and beginning of spring.   We all were waiting to hear if the show or the cast would renew their contracts.   We read articles (some of them were click bait and I learned which ones to believe) on the cast and crew.   All kinds of things sprung up.   IF the show changed people stopped watching but they still freaking post on episodes they haven’t watched or seen.   I mean how stupid can that be? Some of the posters sound like t...

Lots going on in the entertainment world

Lots of things going in the entertainment world: Hollywood is getting back into production with their filming of TV shows, and films (at least I think). We have lost many celebrities since the last entry some I remembered some not so much. Currently I am getting rid of old entertainment stuff I was holding onto for my hardcover journals but its just not realistic.  Besides I am in the process of moving. Its been fun looking over the things I was interested in 20 years ago (Kevin Sorbo fandom) the message boards and the friendships I made.  The discussions ranged from story lines of Andromeda, Hercules, and Kevin's Career at that time.  I came across a complaint letter against one of Kevin's former fanclubs that was mishandling the club and treating the fans like shit.  I think its time I shredded that one.

Awesome News 2020

Image
Awesome news this week. After an shortened TV season because of the Corvid19 the    was some concern that the NCIS franchise had been cancelled out right.  It was announced or confirmed by Sean Murray in a tweet today that the franchise will be returning in September. The Season finale of NCIS "Arizona" was a great episode and it had good reviews from the various platforms I was on.   In equally awesome news Pauley Perrette's Show Broke was cancelled for next season.  In full disclosure I did watch the first episode.  I have mixed views on the episode.  I have not seen the subsequent episodes.  Of course others have and as in all shows some liked and some didn't.  Some are just blindly following her and are oblivious to her instability. I have been spending a lot of time watching and have seen shows I haven't been able to see in a long time.  Including Xena, The Virginian, LHOTP, and show I have only heard of. cbs network fandoms fa...

In 25 days

NCIS Starts .  In all its glory good bad and indifferent.  All summer long there had been many discussions since season 15 ended when  Ziva arrived at Gibbs house to warn of imminent danger (again)..  Fans went bat shit crazy betwen being excited at seeing her return to angry for returning and rewarding the actress for her bad behavior. Many are expecting and on some levels demanding that the character Tony and “their daughter” appear so that they may have a ‘reunion”.  Okay.  Let me know if that happens.  Of course I am going to watch it.  I am also going to accept what is put before me.  They don’t pay me for my opinions and insights.    If I don’t like what I see I may turn it off like I have been a few times this summer and in the past. The articles that came through the internet were fueling the arguments and discussions and among them it said Ziva is going to replace Gibbs.  Of course the “no Gibbs no show”....

Entertainment in General

Holy Crap just learned that Criminal Minds is ending after season 15!!!!  I am not a regular viewer when its first run but occasionally when it shows up on ION or WE or whatever other channel it will be on .   That being said even though it was reported on TV Guide site I may have to wait and see because many people are currently worried or believing various headlines that Sean Murray is leaving NCIS.  I have posted a few times in response they need to read further into the articles. That there are no indications of his leaving and they are rumors they are getting from people asking questions to columns or assumptions on various message boards.  Not really sure we should be putting a lot of trust to ET show either. Mind you when Duane Henry posted about his exit from the show it was after his final episode and he couldn’t say anything until much later. The same with Mark Harmon.  His Rep apparently released a statement  to ET Canada slamming t...

Got word today

News spread through the NCIS fandom that the CBS show was renewed for season 16. However does that mean Mark Harmon renewed his contract? Will this mean he will be behind the camera instead of front and center of the long-standing and popular drama? This past season I have not written much about the season. Much speculation has gone on regarding the very obvious split between Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette. On a daily basis fans of all the message boards online constantly question and speculate, and demand you know the reasons behind it all. More than once I said a number of the forums that there was a non-disclosure agreement that they all have signed that would never reveal the reasons behind it. I've also stayed that's really none of our business. Well upon further investigation Mark Harmon did sign a two year contract and will be EP for spin off.

Wow

First it would seem that the speculation and wishes of many have come to fruition regarding actress (ahem)Pauley Perrette.  She announced on her twitter page yesterday she will be leaving the hit show at the end of season 15.   I have not been a fan of the actress or the character of Abby for several years now and I am relieved.  However, I do know there are many of you out there that are saddened and confused and for that I am sorry.    IF I never see her on anything I will be happy.  I personally thought she was embarrassment to the show when she first started using social media and she ended up in fights and acting like spoiled child.  She actually made the decision a year ago.  A part of me wonders what it was that spurred her on?   Second, I am so freaking tired of people hijacking threads on the various MB’s I am a member of.   Earlier today someone posted a thread started about Ellie Bishop and someone pops into...

Eight Weeks and Counting

There is about 8 weeks until the season premiere of NCIS 15th Season. You would have to be living under a rock (or probably some far off planet unknown to man)not to know there have been changes and rumors running rampant. Just as soon as the rumors are squelched someone else brings them up again.  They could be about the end of NCIS to Mark Harmon’s Health status.  Tonight on ET Pauley Perrette will be responding to the ones primarily about her (I am guessing) and the skin care and why they are firing her (They are not firing her) but she is concerned that her job and her name could be sullied because of it.  Personally I wish they would. The writers are not doing her or her fans or the show’s fans by writing her like a spazoid and spoiled child. It was announced a couple weeks ago (or more?) that Jennifer esposito (Formerly of Blue Bloods and Alex Quinn in Season 14 of the show) was leaving to do new projects with John Travolta and a few other things.  The r...

So much to catch up on

I have so much to catch up on for NCIS and its fandom but today I wanted to comment on other things. First I have made a list of Movies I have seen this year both on Video and in the theaters.  They include the ones I saw during the summer with friends and then this past holiday with my family.  I had the opportunity to see two great films.  The first one was JK Rowling's “Fantastic Beasts and where to find them” and Trolls.  I enjoyed them both.  The first one made a few references to Harry Potter characters but that was it.  It was a lot of fun and the 3-D was pretty good.  OF course the reclining chairs didn’t hurt either.  Trolls was just pretty cute and I was dancing near the end in my seat at the song that has been all over the radio.   There are a lot of other movies I would like to see that I saw the trailers for and my hope is to get to see them either with family, friends, or even by myself. I am also going to start a r...

Fans are in a panic

For the last few days or so there have been panic stricken fans posting to the FB that DM announced his leaving after this season.  He literally announced it when he announced MW’s departure last year.    Some are in denial citing that everyone signed a two year deal.  That is true but I don’t recall it including that of DMC2.  The current articles are all from Europe and Australia.  None from the US such as Variety and the others we tend to listen or believe most times.  I guess It will have to wait for the “official word”. Tonight is the “Philadelphia”episode.  We see the return of MI6 Clayton.  It will be very interesting to see if he will be in the bullpen by the end of the episode or will be showing up from time to time like Fornell.  Some are questioning the spacial problems this is presenting for them.   The ratings seem to be very steady for Season 14 so far.  If I understand it correctly NCIS came in 4th pl...

McGee Pops the Question

I was able to see this past week’s episode of NCIS entitled “Love Boat”.  I have to say it was quite good.  I have no problems with Torres or Quinn or the actors who play them.  I would have liked to have seen the reaction from the team on Delilah’s reaction but that may go against the main thought that no one wants to see the “personal side” of the agents.  Everyone did an excellent job. I read the synopsis of the next episode and we get to see Tony Dinozzo Sr.  I thought I read there would be either a surprise  appearance by Michael W and his alter ego in upcoming episodes (per chance Tim and Delilah’s wedding?) it may have been fan speculations. The discussions of Sean Murray’s weight Loss continues and my blood pressure keeps going up and up every time I read it.  I would like it very much of the Admins of any of the forums (mostly on FB) would get off their bums and Please say something.  I don’t care if you agree but really?? Enough...

The NCIS marathon yesterday

I was able to catch a number of episodes and as I watched them I got the feeling it was their ABBY marathon.  One of the first clues was Dog Tags and I went through the list and noticed it was that.  was pointed out on one of the forums.  It may been pointed out on FB.  Along with all episodes were dedicated to the Memory of Gary Glasberg.  It was a nice touch. The next marathon is Monday and Wednesday.  Monday's looks like it is from Season one.  I was quite surprised to see that CBS is repeating Yankee White.  I may be wrong I will have to check the schedule and Sue's lists as well.

RIP Gary Glasberg

I hadn't been online hardly at all today so I was quite shocked at the news this evening that Show Runner for NCIS Gary Glasberg died today.  He was 4 years younger than I am! He has been hailed and vilified at the way he had been running NCIS since taking it over from Jesse Stern.  It is all over the internet and forums (how many times are these people going to post the same things on the same sites?)  There will be a memorial service in October. He was survived by his wife Mimi and their two sons and his father.  I did post a message to most of the NCIS cast at twitter and a few fans have "liked" my tweet. Well last night was episode 14.2 and it was a mixed bag.  Clearly it was a homage to the 1980's movie the breakfast club.  They had all the elements of it.  They even had a woman who everything thought (Including me) was Alley sheedy (but it wasn't) in reprisal of her role as the weird/shy girl.  I am still not sure of Jennifer ...

With the New Season

With the new season of NCIS just a couple of weeks away I thought it would be nice to post one of my rare posts. If you have noticed I haven’t been posting much this past year about the show and the cast and crew or the fandom. You would have to be living under a rock not to know there has been more unrest in the fandom and some of the message boards. Ever since it was announced by David McCallum that Michael Weatherly was leaving and subsequent news reports, and news items, about the final episodes and about his new show.  It was becoming clear to many that there was some bad blood between MW and MH.  I don’t know if there was it could be hype but it upsets me at some of the countless accusations being thrown around. A part of me doesn’t want to believe them just like there were some other suggestions or innuendo about MH and the women co-stars over the years.  Again it could be very well malicious speculation from fans who don’t like the actor.  I also...
